Hi all, the height adjustment on the steering column of my 2018 488 spyder intermittently does not work. I can’t identify a specific set of circumstances, it appears a bit random. I am quite prepared to accept that it is user error, and it is designed not to be operable at certain times, but there seems to be no logic to when it doesn’t work. There are threads on here about the switch failing on 458’s but has anyone had an issue with this on the 488?

I experience the same thing with my 2018 488 GTB, seemingly no rhyme or reason for when it works, or doesn't.

I am keen to get this sorted before my warranty expires. The control of the steering column is apparently handled by the seat ECU. Each seat has an identical ECU, but only the drivers side controls the steering column adjustment. Dealer is swapping seat ECUs to see if problem goes away.

This issue has now been fixed. Swapping seat ECUs did nothing. After consulting Ferrari HQ, Dealer replaced steering column. Done under warranty.
