Mark your calendars: the Empire State Region has scheduled two track events at Watkins Glen International in 2023:

    10-11 May (Wednesday-Thursday)

    1-3 September (Friday-Sunday--Labor Day Weekend)

A third event--one at Lime Rock Park--is currently tentatively scheduled for 30 June-1 July (Friday-Saturday).

Updates about any of the ESR's 2023 track dates will be posted in this thread. Event registration details should be available on the ESR's website (http://empirestateregion.com/) in the upcoming early months of 2023.

The ESR hopes to see you at the track in 2023!

The ESR date in September (3 track days) comes directly before the Chin event (2 days), making for a full five days! Watkins is a long drive from FL., but for five magnificent days on one of the best tracks in the world, is 100% worth the trip.

Both events are extremely well run, and ESR absolutely knocks it out of the park with this one.

I hope some Fchatters will consider joining me up at The Glen. It is the experience of a lifetime.

Also going to aim for Lime Rock this year. Heard nothing but great praise for this track.

Will see everyone at The Glen in May!

Long drive for me coming from FL, so I’m gonna hang for a few days afterwards at Cornell then run the Chin Event on the 15th and 16th. Four days at the track makes any long distance commute worth the trip! Thank God I no longer have to take final exams……

So looking forward to seeing all my Ferrari friends…….

My whirlwind spring tour kicks off this weekend at NCM.

Then, 06,07 May at Road Atlanta, on to Watkins for 10,11 FCA and Chin on 15.16.

Pitt Race on 27,28 and Mid Ohio 29,30.

Speaking from experience, the FCA events are the most fun. Great people, no tracking experience needed.

If you do just one event per year, the ESR ( Empire State Region) at Watkins is not to be missed!

Left behind rainy Road Atlanta yesterday morning for the long trek to Watkins Glen for the two day FCA event. Weather cleared and is beautiful for the next several days! Still time to play hooky and come on up for some hot laps!

A pic coming out of T11 towards the infamous Turn 12 at RA, then packed up and heading north out of Harrisburg along the mighty Susquehanna towards The Glen….

It was nice meeting you this afternoon, Joe. That's a nice shot you got of me exiting Turn 11 onto the front straight.

And you had the chance to see that BBLM!

Sorry all, I posted my pics in the Spring Extravaganza section. And forgot to acknowledge some members here.

Mike with the dark blue Corvette put on an absolute killer lunch for the crowd!

Joe (head track crew and gatekeeper on the grid) and I bonded over lunch, then later in the day issues me a reprimand for exceeding the speed limit on pit out….all business and the consummate professional!

There's still time to register for the Empire State Region's Friday, 30 June - Saturday, 1 July unmuffled track event in The Secret Valley of Racing--Lime Rock Park.

An updated registration form for the event is attached (Zelle replaces PayPal as a method of payment) and supersedes the previous Lime Rock Park registration form included in previous posts in this thread.

Definitely want to keep that steering wheel oriented straight ahead at that point!

Haven't been to LRP for a couple seasons, but I love it. Deceptively simple track, just 5 rights and a left.

Right! The first thing I was taught my first time at LRP.

Tape on the steering wheel, or in my case the momo embroidery at the 12 o'clock position, serves as a good peripheral visual aid...

Hope some of y’all are heading to WGI for ESR’s event Sept 01 and 02. This is a superbly run event at one of the best tracks out there!

Bob and Chris always put on quite a show, and we always get a great crowd of folks with tons of track time.

And it’s possible to piggy back this event with the Chin Event which directly follows this one.

I plan to bring the 458 Ch, which has a bit of down time after a very active spring.

See you there, Bill. FCA-ESR's WGI event is September 1-3

I'll be "piggy-backing" with David Murry's Advanced Open Track event August 30-31

I didn’t know about the DM event. I’m already booked at WGI with Chin, will sign up for the FCA event this weekend, and see if I can do one of the DM events. I may either do Road Atlanta on my way back to FL, or maybe the WGI event you’ve signed up for.

Had a little down time after an active spring and looking forward to starting up again for the fall. Barber, NCM also beckon…...too many tracks!

    See you at The Glen!

Well, I signed up for the DM event 30 and 31-Aug, then it’s FCA 01,02 and 03 Sept. and finally Chin 04 and 05.

If all goes as planned, all told that’ll make 11 days on track at The Glen in 2023. Not too shabby!
