    Texas!
For reasons that are hard to explain, I need to see if I fit in a Series II Jaguar XKE. Thanks.

I met a guy at the local Georgetown monthly car show who works at a shop in Lockhart specializing in the restoration of old Jaguars. He may be of some help; let me know if you want me to connect you with him.

I think the interior dimensions are the same as the Series I. Only extra space would be the 2+2. How big are you?

    Texas!
Here’s the deal. I’m going on a rally this Fall and one of cars under consideration is a Series I (not II) Jag. I’m 6’ 2” and long waisted. Normally the problem is not my legs, it is these big steering wheels hit the top of legs and the seats generally only go back and forth and not up and down.

I’m 6’ 1” and I fit fine in a SI coupe but I’m pretty evenly proportioned. I still have headroom. The steering wheel can be adjusted up and down and fore and aft. The seat back angle can be adjusted by flipping a little lever after leaning the seat back forward.

pedals are close together, so narrow driving shoes help.

And if you’re going to Lockhart anyway, you have to stop at Kruez Market….

no, ac is aftermarket for e-type. basically same as original with a modern compressor. several different sources. works great. I live I SD and have to cross a desert to go to any rally/tour.

My Series II just left today! I’m 6’, 150lbs and while it’s snug, it’s not bad. The wheel moves fore and aft so that helps, but no tilt (obviously). It’s not overly wide where your hips sit, but I think you’d be fine. You sit “down” in the car and the rockers are really tall and someone mentioned narrow feet required. The pedals are really close. The flat floor Series 1 are worse on comfort. I’d say you’d be fine, but wish I would have seen this earlier to let you sit in mine.

Richard Wright in Denton is a guru on these. You might call him and head to his shop for a sit.

    cheers
    Dave
