Well said!
In the past year, the US has gone from 0% yield, and the money supply expanding at 12.5% per year, to 4.25% yield and the money supply actively shrinking for the first time since 1934. What's that mean? The dollar has gone from hot trash to more valuable by the day this year. Until the money supply is expanding again and the Fed pivots, there is no way in hell the price of US based Speciales are going up, unless it is for export. I'd either sell immediately l or just enjoy your car!
Fed pivot could be around the corner, its getting increasingly more difficult to get hold of special series, new car prices are sky rocketing, new regulations forcing news cars to be quieter and less emotional and unlikely to see another naturally aspirated v8 like the speciale. I wouldn’t bet on prices coming down massively. They may soften a little bit / stay there until it resumes its trajectory again which is up. The same applies to special series v12. What i find is that the ferrari special series / collector car market has proved to be very decoupled from the fed monetary policy and to stocks and cryptos. While the latter crashed this year limited edition ferraris such as the tdf, competizione have seen on the contrary price rises. Same with f40, enzo and f50. Those cars are becoming for the wealthy a safe diversification regardless of monetary policy .. this is just the beginning.
Agreed, the limited edition hence small production numbers create a floor underneath prices and that is what makes the market. Can't worry about when the Fed is pivoting or any of that. That is fine for discounting future flows in the stock market but of little or no value to the collector car market. I am happy to own my Speciale Aperta and will certainly not sell it on some unknown black swan or crowded bearish markets. Right about one thing, I will enjoy the car, its both art and science.
If they go up in value, our money is safe. We win. If they go down in value, we can buy more. We win. No matter what, a win-win. Great car. Beautiful, fun, emotional, spectacular 14:1 CR NA 9k rpm ICE. Biggest wins of all.

BAT charges a fixed $99.00 seller listing fee, the net is the balance; The buyer pays 5% up to a maximum of $5000. But this was a no-sale auction, reserve not met so seller net is -$99.

1k miles in 10 years. I don't know what's worse. The rate of miles per year for this Speciale, or dropping your phone in the urinal.
This is my twin! Excited to see how this one goes. Not a fan of the smoked effects and black badge, and I have never heard of power CF racing seats, but I will have a lot of popcorn for this one! http://links.bringatrailer.com/u/click?_t=6f9b96f87cd64db48f53cab98f02b568&_m=5b8560d7265040bd9b283099e55ac1cf&_e=7fP-YvbZatSqxG74KAoHGd3ESAU5UHElg3AipibyDjx3pqAIc-3LzvttlhiJj0o8iPNtJmEsCh1P5u14RhE9t4nJMiFWbIvZLtOUCK8laMn9KffjFUe-mM-BVhU0ILE3cSEtqt7oKDlIRTDdlDuvk2j2VL2YBSqlIOaiYBDZgOMdIqtixdIsmpH_-pROrgAoQGhuN-bbPySjsfg7M6qUP_YddShWJVJOtWHU5rrW8RRzyQsjCQHxBFdWRvIjteTL Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2015-ferrari-458-speciale-25/ 10K RC+NART (reveal spec) Sold $441,458 ???? undisclosed issues? Motivated seller willing to 'give up' the car for a pittance? Something else? Any ideas?
I was very surprised as well. Smoked lights and black badges a curse? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Seemed like a low price indeed - looks like it could have gone higher but one of the bidders apparently had connectivity issues when bidding. Nonetheless, it is surprising that the seller had such a low reserve.
Seemed right on the money. 10,000 mile car with a few distasteful mods. Easily reservable but Ferrari parts aren't cheap. I paid mid 500's min with 1500 miles. If I can drive another 8,000 miles and only lose 100k that would be great!
