So 1 month ago I bought a Portofino M which was about 1 & 1/2 years old, when I checked the car after it was delivered to me there a lot of damage to the carbon underneath and the heat shield in the carbon back bumper had disintegrated [ I thought it had a dead animal in it at first, pulling black and white fur out] plus the boot lid would open then shut itself, also the windscreen was damaged.

It turned out not to have been checked by the selling Ferrari dealer before sending it to me. They fixed everything and sent it off to have the PPF reapplied, at the PPF shop it would not go in gear so was sent back to the dealer.

They have promised me it will not come back to me until it is perfect, the gear box was fixed with software easily, but they are trying to find out from Ferrari why it did this before sending it to have the PPF.

It has a HEAT INSULATING WINDSCREEN so I would like to make sure they have fitted the correct one [ no confidence in them], would anyone with this screen be so kind as to photograph the logo on the windscreen please, I think it may have a thermometer icon on it but I am not sure?

In the meantime after I sent a very unhappy email and asked for my money back they, have given me a Roma loan car until mine is sorted and said they would give me my money back if I ws not happy.
Sorry for my usual poor camera skills!

It’s very nice but feels cramped inside, and those haptic touch buttons are a nightmare.

I have one on my GTS and will try and grab a pic. Traded my Roma on an F8 so no longer in the garage. It’s a great car but the haptics are not it’s selling point. Nice of them to give you the Roma as a loaner.

I've owned both. The Porto M is better at everything compared to the Roma, except the Roma felt slightly faster (odd because it's the same motor and around the same weight) and I kind of liked how the seats fit like a glove. I wound up selling both though as I'm not into expensive daily drivers (a daily driver should be a car you can crash and not care IMO).

Thanks for the offer James, but no need now.
Alistair kindly sent a photo of his Portofino and it does have a thermometer icon on it bottom left.
Photo from Alistair, for future info, and the lower photo of the Roma which does not have the insulated screen, and this icon is missing.

    Update

Apparently the gear box was not fixed, it will still not go in gear, they also have a brand new Roma with the same problem, also I have heard from someone else, that they had an M which would only go in reverse, I can feel a gear box thread coming on! They are waiting to hear from Ferrari if it needs a new gearbox.

I bought the car at the end of February and have still not even driven it!! :(

But the dealer forgot to order the gearbox oil! Never the less, they have made amends by giving me a brand new loan car, while the Roma gets some summer tyres.
If only I could fit in it [ easily]

I had a test drive in the 296 GTS - I'm completely sold. That is one heck of a car. It was only on normal roads and a lot of speed traps on the route, but the soun dof the turbos and the way it pulls when accelerating. I would prefer it over the SF90 any day.

It’s arrived, I bought it at the end of February and arrived today, yet another week without the car, they had sent 2 of the wheels to be redone as one had a chip in it, this was at the middle of last week, I was told I would get the car today, then yesterday the PPF people told they had just sent the other 2 wheels of to be done as the lacquer was starting to peel, and they said it would be the end of next week, that was the last straw, I sent them an email asking for my money back, the dealer phoned me, apologies again and said they would take the wheels and tyres off their brand new demonstrator and take them to have them put on my car, so I could get the car today, it looks like new, mega spec. just hope the new gear box works ok!

It looks perfect condition wise, gear box seems ok other than it went to 8th gear at 30 MPH in auto on the flat, maybe its learning as later it was in 7th?
