Sadly I'm not aware of a 296 GTS hardback as yet. In the last few years Ferrari has not always released a brochure for every model. It started with the special series cars, such as the 458 SpecialA,and F12 tdf, but this now seems to be expanding to the series production models. For example I'm not aware of a full brochure for the SF90 Spider, only the Stradale, For the Spider there was only a lithograph and portfolio of large photo cards, and the latter only distributed in a handful of markets. So far for the Purosangue, I am only aware of a lithograph, for the 296 GTS only the lithograph and the portfolio, which may be Japan only. For the 812 Competizioni and Daytona SP3, nothing has surfaced so far. I fear Ferrari may be following many other manufacturers in dropping the printed brochure in favour of more digital media.

Dear all, in my collection I have this little 166 MM brochure. I guess it will highly likely be a reprint, but I wonder if anyone here knows more about it? I looked into the book by Merritt (Veloce reprint), where the brochure is mentioned (though not shown) on page 37. I note that the size is described in the book as 20,96 cm x 15,08 cm, whereas mine is 20,7 cm x 14,7 cm. So, that makes it even more likely that it‘s a reprint. Still I would be interested to find out when and by whom this was done. Any historic brochure expert here that might know? Thanks & ciao, Lars
Hi Lars, I'm not a brochure expert but I have the same reprint. I don't have any idea where it came from. However this brochure has always been a puzzle; why do you put a building on the cover when you're trying to sell a car? Nathan
Thanks for your reply Nathan - and a good question indeed - maybe shortly after the war it was something special to be able to display an intact factory building?
I’m not an expert on the older brochures, but there is a very similar brochure for the 166 inter. https://www.autolit.eu/en/ferrari-166-brochures/17083-1949-ferrari-166-inter-brochure-italian.html
It's been ages since I have had a call from my local Ferrari dealership to pick up a new sales brochure. I think the last one was the 296 GTB hardcover brochure. Anyone have a brochure of a model later than that?
The last hardcover appears to be the 296GTB. For some markets there has been portfolios of cards released for the 296GTS (Japan - maybe others) and Purosangue (Japan & US) to support factory events, but these don’t seem to have made it to the dealers. It’s looking like Ferrari is following a lot of other manufactures and drastically reducing its printed marketing material. I big disapointment if that is the case.
The industry trend is to eliminate paper brochures altogether. They want you to go online for any information you want, need.
I fear you may well be disappointed as Ferrari like others moves away from paper brochures. I really hope my large Ferrari brochure collection hasn't ended with the 296.
I'm struck by the paucity of technical information(specs) on manufacturers websites? Plenty of beautiful images though.
As new models get released it's sad that Ferrari are not producing hardcover sales brochures any longer. Would love to have seen one for the Purosangue and the 12 Cilindri.
