    Gang -

As some of you know, I've had myriad running issues with my '03 6-spd 360 Spider. I've had the ECUs rebuilt and reflashed multiple times and done many other things to correct the stalling and poor running issues I've been experiencing. Now that the ECUs are back in the vehicle, the vehicle is running better overall but still has odd problems. For example, last weekend I took the 360 out for a leisurely drive. No hard acceleration or braking, just a cruise. After 20 minutes of highway driving I parked, did some shopping for an hour, and when I returned instead of the green "Check OK" light I got the dreaded amber "ASR" alert. The vehicle cranked but wouldn't start. I tried several times. Nothing. Then I let it sit for a few minutes. Locked the doors and unlocked the doors. Tried again and "Check OK" came on and it started.

In numerous discussions with folks like @360trev, I am learning that Spiders have an issue where given the position of the ECUs above the headers, the heat can cause issues with the ECUs. The recommended "fix" is to get heat shields to protect the ECUs.

So, does anyone make these heat shields and, if so, where can I get them? Also, has anyone experienced my starting problems and have other recommendations for things I haven't tried?

    thanks,
    ketel

Speaking to 360Trev on the topic he also recommends custom bracket and heat shield around the ECU
