    Apparently will be an NA ICE with a hybrid component as per Mate’s comments, there was someone posting on Germancarforum stating he knows someone working at Rimac and it’ll be a V16;

“I can only confirm that rumor about Chiron successor. That guy that works for Rimac today showed me a dyno test video of that V16 cosworth engine so i guess that is happening :eek:It revs above 9000rpm and sounds absolutely insane!
Naturaly aspirated ICE develops over 1000hp. In combination with Rimac sourced electric motors, total output will be slightly above 2000hp.
With weight of around 1900kg it will outperform Nevera and everything else currenty on the market.
I have heard some additional information about interior. There will be analog gauges (i guess speedometar) and retractable screens.
Apparently we will see that hybrid monster as early as next year and it will shock the world!

Next Rimac product will be Nevera cabrio, but hardcore non street legal Nevera got axed due to unknown reasons. There is one prototype of that hardcore Nevera model with weight shredded to only 1600kg but it will never see production.
They already started development of Nevera successor, C3, but it is in very early stages.”

    very very cool!

the boldie looks interesting too, it's a shame that the car people will be able to buy will be much heavier and have less power than the proto

Honestly I agree, but this is the info that was on the forum but I hope some part of it is true.

The Chiron is 1,995kg kerb with a W16 quad turbo motor, so a successor with a N/A V16 with a hybrid that weighs the same or close sounds implausible but I’m hoping the Rimac/Bugatti team have been extremely creative with their engineering and design.

Hopefully we’ll see something from them soon.

Best example of lightweight vs tech and power is probably the FXXK. GT3 cars still faster at 500hp compared to FXXK which has 1100hp, and equivalent slicks.

Well the W16 is 400kgs vs the Valkyrie motor at 200kg. Dont forget all the associated intercooler plumbing. And they will probably use an electric front drive so they will save 80-100kgs on the gearbox and center + front differential. In terms of the added weight of the hybrid system SF90 is 270kg for all cables, motors, battery, etc. Rimac is probably more advanced in this department (at least for road cars). So back of the envelope math seems to work out.

Yeah, but those are actual race cars, the FXXK is just a modified LaFerrari.

Looks to me like the Fiorano times don’t serve as evidence of an advantage for lightweight against power and tech. For example, 2015’s TDF is heavier but faster than 2018’s Pista. A triumph of power over lower weight and balance. Same for Superfast v Tributo, F12 and 458 and even SF90 and LaFerrari. Tech seems to work. Not saying it delivers a better car, just that according to Ferrari there is a basis for adding power, tech and weight to gain speed.

Could all be marketing but I’m pretty sure all the TDFs were already sold when the Pista did its time.

Also keep in mind that Fiorano is a fairly slow circuit. Try Monza instead and the higher power will make a difference.

I'm expecting a wing integrated in the body design somehow. Not this add-on, racecar type.

maybe it's not for a Laferrari replacement? But for a 296 version. I don't see why they'd put a twin turbo V6 in the top model, then a V12 in all the others.
