Wyndham? We're kind of too deep into Marriott rewards program to switch at this late stage. Lifetime Platinum or bust!

When we went to Japan some years back, I was mildly disappointed we never hit up a Japanese curry house. Happily, Coco, the big Japanese chain, has a couple of out posts in LA area.

Chicken cutlet with veggies. Great crunch on the chicken katsu. Spice level 3.
Shoulda gone higher in the spice level.

We ordered a naan pizza as a lark. Good. Giving me ideas for when we get back home.

It's called a porterhouse in the US, although the distinction with t-bone (porterhouse should have larger filet side) is often a gray area. Wife prefers filet to strip side, so I try to always pick out the t-bone/porterhouse steaks with a generous filet portion.

Do they distinguish between t-bone and porterhouse in Australia?

We're Lifetime Gold now. Platinum still a few years out!

Coco lived up to the hype. I'm pretty excited, they're supposed to be opening up branches of Coco and Gogo Japanese curry houses in DFW in the near future. Doesn't look too hard to whip up a batch if you have the pre-made curry blocks. Or, even the curry powder.

Yes they do distinguish between the T-Bone and Porterhouse steaks. Actually some butchers even have a New York T-Bone , that is , a T-Bone without the fillet...

What I dislike now is that there was normally the white nerve in the T-Bone which was a delight to eat unfortunately now they remove it :(

They have a Marriot here in this small town in the States. But no balconies and it is a pain to leave the room via elevator for a smoke. We like the Wyndham rewards, diamond with Ceasars was earned fast. I'm here again. We had ribeyes at a WA chain steakhouse. Think they have 12 restaurants in Washington State. Not bad, but not great either.

I haven't posted here in a long bit. You guys and gals are still eating good. I've started getting enough lettuce from the garden for dinner salads.

Last week made home made enchiladas. Ground beef and bison because that's what I pulled outta the freezer. Made the sauce from scratch too. Not bad.

Tonight dinner is bbq time, corn and pesto crusted pork loin. Threw a few burgers on while I had the grill going. Those will be leftovers.

The pork was tasty. Also made jalapeno-lime butter for the corn. Yummy.

Stopped at Chick-Fil-A last night for a spicy deluxe, chocolate shake, and fries. The other night was steak fajita at a Mexican joint. I forgot to ask the front desk if any rooms have kitchens.
