No idea on exact dimensions but bent from 9 long and 12 wide sheet of 1018 steel, not too hard to do, just a rough to get an idea of cost, less than $300 a set for sure if I wanted to have a shop make hem. Took less than 30 min to design. Take cad drawings to machine shop, Bobs your uncle. Few ways to do this actually, some easier, if I had a 355 I'd make them, probably good to have on a 348 too. hmmm.

Would it be best to make the shield be in addition to the factory? i.e. it mounts over it?

The factory shield has pretty wide wings from the look of it, I suspect its best to down and around, one could put the factory one over it however. I'm just looking for dimensions to get close, maybe print one in plastic to see the fit, not committing to anything except some analysis.

I was changing inner CV boots every year until I wrapped the exhaust with heat wrap in that area. Last CV boot was changed 8 years ago and it still looks like new.

I am guessing if I made 50 sets,2 would sell over a 12 moth period. Same reason Goth is not selling them any more I am quite sure.
I'll make them for myself. :)

    This plus this:

And we can all DIY if we need one. You could throw that design up on thingaverse or something and let us pay $20 each (or whatever) to get a copy we can send to have fabricated.
