Hi all, I have a growing collection of old eclectic Italian cars from the 60's and 70's (Fiat 1500 OSCA, Fiat Dino Coupe, Fiat X1/9, Fiat 500, Dino 208 GT4, Lancia Fulvia). Love them all :)

Looking for a mechanic in the area who can help with maintaining them.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    John

Hi Tony. Yes, that would be him. Do you have experience with Dino that you'd like to share? I have not followed up with him yet.

He has been there for over 25 yrs. I have a scorpion I need to service and get scheduled with him.

Italian garage facility is more for F cars I think. A good alternative to F of Tampa and F of Naples if you are out of warranty.

My TR needs a belt service. I am going to try maranellomotorsports. I have a small collection and my old mechanic out of Clearwater did them all.....REASONABLY!!! That includes Porsche and Mercedes. He died of covid. When I asked for a ballpark figure from those guys in Sarasota, they said the service would be 15-20K.........I understand inflation, but this is double what I am used to paying.

i have not used them personally yet but the local "Ferrari Drivers Group Sarasota" recommended these guys:

    https://www.europeanexoticcenter.com/

the general consensus of the group when asked was there is no other valid option in the area and they were pretty passionately negative about it.

so far i've not brought myself to tackle the couple open service issues on the f430 not having access to Blackhorse anymore. after a few subpar service experiences with other cars, i totally understand why people all over ship cars back to Vince and crew.

I'd recommend Ben as SVMotorsports in Sarasota. He has a lot of experience with Ferrari's.
