Those sure look nice, but be careful with stainless hardware. I've been viewing Tom Yang's You Tube channel, and he made a good point during a video on servicing a 308 that had some stainless spacers between the carbs and airbox. Should you accidentally drop a stainless washer/fastener down a carb throat or a spark plug hole you won't be able to retrieve it with a magnet.
Agreed. But one should always prepare properly to prevent ingress of small parts into engine orifices regardless of material. Note they are also available in zinc plated for the paranoid.
Let my brother in law drive me to RAF Cosford and back this morning for a meet up with others from Italian Auto Moto club. Great turn out and RAF museum, thanks to guy’s putting on such a great event. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Went to the New Cannan caffeine and carburetors this morning and had an interesting drive home. Had my son in law pick up the necessary tools and, whala. Road side repair! Could have been much worse. Had a recent alignment, wondering if they didn't smoke down the nut. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was thinking the same this last night, but I installed the steering rack and am 99% sure I tightened them. I guess anything is possible, right?
Tried new wheels to see how they looked. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I'm a really big fan of the coffin wheels. Been thinking seriously about getting a set for my 308 GT4. I think the gold wheels on my green car would look exceptional! Thanks for putting this thought back to the front of my mind!
Agreed. Your car already looks amazing but these wheels really compliment the Bertone styling in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Wife went out so it was change the oil time. I had the B253 filter. I had a case of Castrol 20w50 from when Sears went out of business. like $1.19/qt 3 mile jaunt to warm up the car, slid the Harbor freight low jack with big crossmember on it so I could lift up the whole back end in one shot. Put in the jack stands. dropped the oil, put on a new crush washer, put the filler plug back in (I have the allen wrench marked for oil so I never grab the wrong one & drop the trans fluid by mistake) and started to put the oil in. 1qt, 2 qts...and I glanced at the container. 10w30. Dang, the labels on the old 10w30 style castrol containers are almost identical to 20w50. oh well, dropped the 2 qtrs. Only lost like $3. But when I added up the 20w50 I had...8 qts. Not enough. Up to Autozone. $9/qt. WOW same price as synthetic. They didn't have the 5 qt jugs. But they did have a sale - 6qts + STP oil filter (for my mazda) for $37.
fixed my electric radio antenna on my 308, the nylon wire was broke, welded it together and now it works again..
