Damn wth. The dealer was listing it for less that that before BAT. The spec on this one was pretty low.

The question is, will the pista ever go below MSRP?

like a well preserved gt3rs, we know that the car is worth msrp or more all day whenever where ever

does the pista all day fall in this category

Pre-Covid they were below msrp. I suspect it will go back there one day.

My take is hard to predict what happens with the dissolution of ICE in the near future. In my opinion, and I have owned other F cars, the Pista is one of the most exciting LV produced. The challenge is that they produced more than anticipated. In this world of supply and demand that could have an impact. So far they are holding over MSRP. Unlike Mclaren coming out with the 750 pushing other of their models down, there is no follow-on ICE V8 for the Pista.

Except the F8!! That was the follow-up ICE V8.

    Exactly. F8= FINAL8

But I do believe both the F8 and the Pista are going to slide down just a bit over next year or so and then bounce considerably back up and continue up. But who ever really knows?

Price trajectory will depend somewhat on macro factors as well. Whether the landing is soft or hard will make a difference too, at least in the short term.

The F8 is a standard issue car, the Pista was the track focused better looking faster last ICE car. There is no question which one will be the most valuable in the future.

I agree with this but I think the pista closely resembles the 430 Scud as far as how it went with production.

Track version but not limited per se. I think theres roughly 2000+ pistas? Same as Scud?

Cant find a scud below msrp.

No much more, more like 4800 Coupe and 1800 Spider Worldwide. 812 GTS following the same path, making a lot more than is perceived..

Respectfully where did you get those numbers? I must admit so many color combinations and cars here in the Pista picture thread and on the internet no doubt a bunch of cars were made. As others have stated I plan on keeping mine till I can no longer enjoy it (health/age), so not bothered about value fluctuations. Even if values go down I will have enjoyed my car (hopefully) for many years.

Best estimate I could get from an well informed source (Owner of one of the largest dealerships in NA) was 1650 Pistas total with 60% North America. So around 950 cars total in the US. So far less than Scuderias

I got same info from a large Ferrari dealer and it’s on their website that there are 3500+ Pistas… barely less than F8’s in total

since all the other models seem quite accurate, don't know why the Pista would be incorrect.

I would also say there are way more than 950 Pistas in the US-- I'd say closer to 2k. They made A LOT of them.... more than Speciales and Scuds.

That’s hilarious.. not sure which number is funnier 1650 Worldwide or 60% North America allocation.. think it’s the 60% NA allocation number. Look I loved the Pista owned 2 at the same time, 1 in UK and 1 in Europe but after driving the Assetto Fiorano SF90 and bought one, the Pistas became obsolete for me. Lost a packet on both of them with the dealer spread. The reason was simple, they built a lot of them and the dealers know that.. My UK dealer covers 30% of the UK dealerships and allocations. They are firm that there were about 420/425 UK Coupe and about 170 Spider. My German Dealer owns 2 dealerships and stated 330 Coupe and 130 Spider, my Spanish Dealer stated that his country % allocation was consistent for Spain, can’t remember the numbers but a lot less than German for Both. Basically the country % have not really changed in the last 10 years to the major markets, USA, Italy, UK, Germany, China France. UK gets between 9/10% Germany 8/9%, and HELLO, pay attention at the back North America gets around 30%, not 60%!! So based on the country % of the top usual markets you can get a good summary of the numbers, of course nothing official. In my original post I said 4800 Pista Coupe and 1800 Spiders. I should have said 4200 Pista Coupe 1800 Spiders, so approximately 6000 cars total is known in the right circles. Don’t buy a 488 Pista because you think it’s rare and will lose no money compared to an F8, buy it because it’s a sensational looking car does everything it says on the tin, and it’s value might hold up as the last non hybrid VS. I would imagine the F8 Tributo will be rarer than a Pista Coupe..

Aaghh…I suspect you bought a Pista for the wrong reasons and swallowed a bag full from the dealer.. doesn’t matter just put miles on it and the market will decide what you get for it when you sell..
