To the european folks, what's the real price to pay today for a Scud?

Let's say, Rosso Corsa, racing harness and no more than 50.000km.

A 7k mile 16M just sold on BAT for $339,995, so that should help inform where prices should be for the coupe Scud's.

Brokers are asking minimum 430K$ for 16M in Europe, an Italian is even asking 540k$...... LOL. In my opinion, they are all off the mark and a big potential profit makes them lose their minds.

I don't even understand where they got the idea of asking such high prices...

The 5th owner had it for 12+ years and drove it 40,000 miles (3,300 miles per year). THIS showcases the problem with modern exotic fans/buyers. They ***** when people don't drive the cars, and they ***** when someone puts on a reasonable 3,300 miles per year.

So not a rental or a daily driver (unless someone drives less than 12 miles a day).

This is the perfect "not saving it for anyone else" type of exotic to buy and drive without guilt (my Ford GT is like that). I dare one of you guys on the sidelines moaning about how the prices have gone up to go find out more about this car for a purchase.

Exactly! If I were in the market this is the car I would buy. Provided it’s clean and accident history is not bad.

As i posted in another thread, theres a Scuderia for sale in Switzerland with ALOT more KM's on it, this has 45K miles, that has about 73K miles if you convert KM to miles...

The wrap is hideous, but thats an easy thing to remove yourself, other than that, this looks perfect for someone who wants a "cheap" 430 Scuderia for trackdays or just to enjoy driving it a ton on normal roads (like the owners has probably both done)

Scott, I'm curious how much money you have in your car at this point. I have $20,000 in the FGT and $65,000 in the Diablo (after 9 years though).

That’s a great question. To be honest, I haven’t added it all up lol (although I have kept every single receipt). If I had to guess I’d say between 15-17k, but with the caveat that most of that was discretionary stuff that wasn’t strictly “necessary”. For example I replaced all the mafs and o2’s and tons of other stuff like seals and hoses etc that were perfectly functional but not to my liking. Biggest discretionary items were the Kline inconel exhaust and ccm’s rotors and pads all around (to replace the steel stuff). 16 control arm bushings also just arrived. The only things that I replaced that were actually absolutely necessary were the throttle bodies, the ECU’s which were damaged by the worn throttle bodies, valve cover gaskets, a d some damaged buttons and the water/oil pump that was leaking. Pretty much everything else I’ve done was just to improve the cosmetics or things that bugged me or were just wearing out. Although this car is a driver, I don’t want it to be ratty in appearance or driving feel. This is also 100% diy except for recalibrating and installing the ECU’s and the throttle bodies. If I paid someone else to do all this work, you could probably add another $20,000 to that total. But again most of it was not necessary. I just find the process satisfying and rewarding!

Another 16M only made it to low to mid $300’s on BAT, the last one sold for a few weeks ago for $339. How closely do the values of 16M’s and Scuderia’s correlate, I don’t think they attract exactly the same buyer. Speaking of Scuderia’s, what is the value today for a good quality 13K mile example?

How much do you think that the lack of a stripe effects the value? I actually prefer no stripe Scuds but I know I’m in the minority there.

I am not sure if it affects the value, but it might limit the pool of buyers. I wouldn’t buy a no stripe car, but I know that many people don’t care if the car comes without one.
