Manuals were EU only and IIRC ended in 2018. It's a ZF auto, not an F1 or DCT. In Race mode it snaps like a DCT though.

Well, I bought it. 2023 Giulia Veloce in Rosso Etna. It's fabulous and exactly what I wanted.

@ryalex, I know the Quad is an amazing car. But I have other special sports cars that I own, and I don't need one car to "do it all". I like the gas mileage on the regular Giulia (almost double the Quad), the engine is pretty darn zippy, steering feel is fantastic, and after playing with it today, I even like the infotainment. No, it's not "best in class", but it's not bad either once you learn your way around. The sport seats are perfect and the whole interior design is very simple and elegant.

It will be a perfect commuter car for me. Something that I won't worry about when it gets dirty, or if something happened to it. The Quad is too special, and I have too many other cars that I can worry about. But I also didn't want something boring like a Lexus or Audi, and I don't want a non-M BMW. And I wanted something new with a full warranty.

Finally, I got the car for almost 20% off MSRP. Not a bad deal at all. I don't think these cars are exactly flying off of the lots, which worked in my favor.

    Congrats!

I think I described earlier on this thread that I actually tried the Ti first and loved that nimble steering, light footing and sharp throttle response - to me it was what you *imagine* a modern BMW 3/4 could feel like [but doesn't]. I had asked to drive the QV and they gave me this BS about needing to 'qualify for financing' first. I was mildly offended (I was a lawyer in a suit arriving in an Audi A8L), but whatever...

Not being able to shake it I went back a few hours later to buy the Ti and after filling out the financials they were like, "Well you should try the Quadrifoglio before you decide!" Hmm. Do I say no? I relented, and within 2 miles I knew that was it, I was buying.

Can any Selvio quadrifolio owners give an idea what local and highway mileage is like when you're not driving it like performance car.
I saw some UK YouTube reviewers claiming 22 MPG on the highway if you're reasonable and not driving like you really want to! ;) BS or possible?
    I'm thinking about long trips.
    I'm guessing 11-12 around town?

Looks like black is the only interior?

    Thinking used say 2019?

Does Ferrari make this engine too?

Alfa is actually sending a limited run QV (Giulia & Stelvio) to the US market:)
the 100 anniversary of the Quadrifoglio: outside of a mechanical LSD, the features are mostly cosmetic...comes in 3 colors...Vulcano, Montreal & Etna

Imperial Gallons. To convert US Miles Per Gallon (MPG) to UK MPG, you need to multiply the US MPG figure by 1.20095

So, 22 MPG UK = 18.3 MPG USA

regular stelvio is mid to high 20s, drives great and has more than enough power. It sounds almost like an Alfa at higher revs. Alas at idle it sounds like a refined diesel Mercedes

the thing about these alfas (I’ve got the car and suv)is the steering really is a joy, unlike pretty much every other modern. The ride is intelligent in that it has control but also compliance and still feels live.
If lotus were to have made a car or suv this would be how it should steer and ride.

I wouldn’t be afraid of the 4cyl Alfa, yeah it’s not 505hp, but for the road it’s more than plenty

I've driven one of those. It's not worth the smaller interior space tradeoff for me. But 505Hp might be!

I guess it depends what you're coming from, I don't find the stelvio interior small.
In any event for what the quad costs gas prices mpg shouldnt be the major concern speculate though that on cruise control at a steady 75 or so on cruise control it will do well into the 20s, as most turbo v6s do.

I wish that my 2015 NA 3.7 V6 Lincoln engine would do that. Cruise control is hard to do safely now but the best I can do is 20.x and x is low! Eleven mpg around town is typical.

Did battle AGAIN with the front bumper cover this AM.
Incredibly poor design, and simply too damn LOW for US parking "stoppers.
The 3m double sided tape was OK. Not great, but OK.

This stuff seems to be the real deal. 8 minute set time, and no conceivable way to clamp, but it set and appears to be holding well. Cures at current temp outside in 2 hours.

We'll see how it does after 24 hrs or so. A 110 blast up the Florida turnpike will tell the tale.

Prepped every imaginable attachment point. Dremel wheel cut grooves into attachment points. Rotary wire brush on the inside of the bumper cover. Masking tape on fender joint, both sides. Even laid a thin bead under the headlights cause why not. Alcohol wiped everything then epoxy. This stuff comes w a mixing tip letting you use it like a caulking gun. Problem is I can only physically hold one side at a time, so the epoxy will set up in the mixing tube...I might even buy 2 tubes to avoid that in the future, as the nozzle lets you place the epoxy very precisely.

    We shall see.

While I really really liked my 2021 Black Giulia, and also have to be honest and say I missed the paddle shift from my 2017 Giulia. My nearest Alfa dealer is loaded with stock, and Alfa is making very strong deals on the 2023s. I arm wrestled with the dealer starting in mid-April. Yesterday we came to a meeting of the minds. The 2023 has nothing I didn't want, and exactly what I did. As soon as my wife can take pictures of me posing with, I post them...until then a couple from the dealer. The color combination reminds me of the Ferrari Mondial coupes that married the metallic gray and red interiors.

Yes. They also reduced the exterior colors that are available, and they only offer the blacked out trim, they stopped putting the stainless steel trim around the side windows, on the grill, and on the tail pipes. I preferred the look of my previous Giulias in terms of that. The Lusso interior was the best...I accepted the sports seats to get the color...but the Lusso seats were more comfortable for real world driving.

I had a 2018 Quad, could not get more than 13mpg, which in that car is a good thing. It means you are having fun. But I could live with the 240hp Veloce.

After three years and 20k flawless miles, my 2020 Giulia finally acted up today ... drove it for about 120 miles on Sunday, it was just fine, parked it, locked it, as always. This morning the car was dead as a doornail ... neither remote worked, opened the door with the key (which I initially didn't realize was hidden inside the fob) but nothing. Of course, the frigging hood release didn't work ;)

Finally got the hood open, but by then Alfa roadside had arrived ... tried to jump it off a little jumper pack, nothing. Put real jumper cables on a running VW, lights came on but when we hit the starter it was just making a rapid staccato snapping noise and not starting, all kinds of crazy warning lights, etc. Tried off the bigger tow truck battery, same result, gauges were parked halfway up, warning lights, no go. They couldn't figure out how to get the transmission to release without starting the car so it's still sitting in the driveway.

Oh, and just in case it happens to you ... the battery is in the trunk, which you cannot open with a dead car. But there is a hidden red plastic panel under the trim by the wipers that is the positive remote terminal, and a nut you're supposed to use as the ground up by the passenger side hood release. Of course, your little jumper box cables will not reach there.

And if the hood release pulls but does not open the hood, as is common from what I've read, you have to get your fingers inside the seam and lift it up, then have someone pull the cable again. Dealer said just push down on the hood while pulling the release but that got me nowhere.
