I think as long as it's period correct and from Ferrari or one of it's trusted suppliers...

and doesn't look like it was pulled from a ricer Honda or Mazda...

You win! These all look good.

I got this 355 non-airbag wheel from a friend of mine in Japan. Already reupholstered in black alcantara and leather, and I was going to restore it to its original leather. But once I installed it, I really liked the feel of the alcantara on my hands (and driving gloves) that I decided to leave it as is for a while. Maybe sometime in the future, I will restore it to original.

I love the feel and size (about 360 mm in diameter IIRC), much smaller than the stock wheel, but a bit bigger than a 350 mm MOMO. I had to make a custom adapter to fit the non-airbag wheel to the '99 spec steering column, as the bolt pattern is different on each. Just as well, as I needed a spacer anyway to set the correct distance between the F1 paddles and the steering wheel rim.

    Cheers

That looks perfect. Is that a CF instrument surround?
    Have more info on it?

It is a factory option. All interior CF parts on my are, with the exception of the paddles, are factory. I have the original dealer invoice.

That's crazy, I never knew Ferrari offered CF interior options for the F355!! Are you sure they aren't aftermarket and installed by the dealer?

Full carbon interior for $10k...factory parts! I'd bet most would pay a lot more than that right now for those bits. :)

Here's the Modena wheel I have in my Berlinetta.
It totally changes the look of the interior. I am really satisfied of this upgrade.. :)

Has anyone ever tried the 550 wheel? I think it looks more correct as the 550 was in production when the F355 was. I am pretty sure that it could work well.

I am for total originality, but the OEM airbag wheel on the F355 is so ugly that you cannot look at it!

I can see how one would want to keep the car original- in that case I'd keep the original wheel in my closet.

I don't have a 355, although I'm searching for a black GTS; however, I have never cared for the original wheel as it just doesn't look very Ferrari

The 3 spoke wheels are more appealing

You guys have mentioned that non-airbag Euro wheel. I think giving up the airbag is reckless to make way for an aesthetic decision, but I'm sure I'm not the only one reading this who's curious about what it looks like

Can anyone post a pic of the non-airbag Euro wheel?

problem is when one even comes close to being available it gets bought fast.

    you just can't find them.

Euro spares parts out a lot of these and I haven't been able to snag one yet.

My wheel i just got from glen atb at exotic car gear. Havent seen it yet but is at my house in california. My buddy picked it up and says it looks awesome. Will post some pics in a few weeks when i get it mounted. Little smaller than the stock 360 wheel. He has all sorts of options for people interested.

I'm assuming a 360 airbag will be fitted together with it?
