Agreed. It’s about how it feels/engages vs durability in the AV. Imagine if they solve this in the successor. Beast.
This summer I had the opportunity to drive dealer demos of F8 and EVO RWD nearly back to back. F8 faster and more connected, probably more confidence inspiring. Interior feels expensive. Looks are subjective but EVO RWD to me seems more striking, at least in pearl organge. Cleaner exterior lines. The overwhelming difference though was that performante derrived NA V10. It completely dominates the experience, you find yourself needlessly going through the gears, slowing down in traffic just to find a gap you can rip through the rpms. It is a car that connects you on an emotional level, in a way that that the F8 doesn't. Subjectively the F8 is better, but the EVO RWD is the one I came away infatuated with, the one I couldn't stop thinking about for weeks after
Let's just say I have a deposit down on EVO RWD Spyder.. I was thoroughly impressed with the F8's engine though, there is only the slightest hint in it's character that it's a turbo.
Great write up thanks! I got my 23 evo arriving in a week so can’t wait Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
While I wait for my f8 which cleared customs yesterday the Lamborghini dealer called me today and offered me an STO at sticker. MSRP was 425k so pretty loaded
I received my 2022 EVO spyder RWD last May. I always had Ferrari's for many years. When I bought the Lambo it felt like i was going to the dark side. For me the only time I got a rise driving it was when it was in Corsa mode. All other modes too boring. Even in Corsa unless i punched it I was not impressed. It sounded great and the looks in metallic orange with orange seats was as far from Ferrari as one could get. Unless I ran it hard it just seemed too civilized for me. i traded it in for a 2018 488 spider (even swap). I know that I will lose the NA sound but I guess I am just a Ferrari guy and preferred its styling to the garish looks of the Lambo.
No, I just bought a new urus last week for a winter car while I’m waiting so my garage is pretty full. Also as a track focused car the sto doesn’t have that much appeal to me and sounds like there are a number of crazy loaded one that people bailed on around the country.
great write up. I feel the same way. (I bought a 23 RWD and got it in December and still can't stop thinking about it)
thank you. It's called Verde Selvans. It's really deep and you can get lost in it. In the sunlight it has goldflake throughout. I originally wanted Verde Mantis which is the flat electric green you see which comes as a standard option but the SA talked me into Verde Selvans and I'm glad he did.
Yeah I also keep thinking over this car after the test drive; can't get it out of my head Car had Akrapovic exhaust; the sound is really out of this world. Have the opportunity to pick up a brand new one but 30k over or wait till the market settles down.. damn... Problem is we can't keep all...
How are the Evo guys finding the steering? I just let go of my 610-4 in favor of a 911 Turbo S becuase the understeer made me not want to drive the car anymore. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I miss having a lambo had few diablos early model Murciélago I want to get into a v12 again watching the Aventador roadster market congratulations on your new lambo enjoy in good health
I didn't like the RWD variant as much so I went with the AWD. Added a little power to the car and it's arguably one of the best road cars I've owned. Image Unavailable, Please Login
