That is not an offshore. It is the royal oak chronograph. Probably just looks big in the photo but it’s smaller than the offshores.
My watchmaker buddy in France owns this rare Gruen Precision from the early '60s: indexes are green during the day and mechanically change to black at night. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
No its just a regular Royal Oak but I think the angle I took it in makes it look larger, still a 41mm
I have heard of these but that is an incredible innovation. I presume it work similarly to a date wheel just with a 12 hour change. Man, I would absolutely LOVE to own one of those - just because it's cool! PDG
Ok, I was in the wrong, the change is AM/PM, so at twelve noon/midnight. It's a pilot watch. (531) 20230526 105856 Gruen AM PM - YouTube Watchmaker said the watch is available. PM me and I will give you his contact information.
Got my AP RO back today from service. Looks like new and very glad I got the gray horn back strap. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was looking for a family item from years ago. I opened an old jewelry box and found my Timex Viscount Automatic Day/Date from 1974. I set it, wound it a little, and have been wearing it for a few days. It’s keeping perfect time after being in a box for over 40 years! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not wearing it yet, but got my Moonshine Gold. Waited in line about an hour or so. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's weird, the watch looks handsome on the black rubber strap, not sure I like it with the black croc strap, watch looks different/off somehow. I guess that's why ALS didn't make a croc strap for it.
WSJ article today says the new trend in men's watches......is women's watches. Perhaps a backlash from the oversized watches in favor, younger guys like the glitz, and vintage women's watches are in better shape. Cheaper, too. Sent from my SM-A102U using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Women’s watches are indeed much less money. My wife has a half a dozen vintage Rolex Date/DateJust, some with diamond dials or bezels, which are near mint. If you shop them carefully you can get them for $2k.
