Glad to see this handled so quickly. Perhaps things will turn around and a new chapter will begin. Best of luck Chris.
Good day everyone, It’s been ages since I’ve made a post here and I guess I’m jumping in the deep end on this tumultuous topic. My reason for bringing this thread back to the top is to find out if as a community we feel the ship has been corrected in its course. I have a good friend that is not a member here that is very serious about having EAG do a conversion on an F430. As an outsider the issue’s that have come up here seemingly don’t exist, another reason that a reliable forum like this is invaluable. I’m not looking for any hate speech on EAG, just some objective views from those that have had an opportunity to see any change from their new leadership. Thanks!
In terms of the antics they were known for pulling over the years, I have not seen or heard anything negative since the CEO took over. That being said I am unsure if any of the issues with their kits have been addressed.
Put a liquidated damages clause in the contract if they keep your car for over a year like they have done to so many others.
I was told the clutch feels agricultural and goes over center, turret feels like grinding rocks. Next steps are unclear as it would likely need a new conversion for the shop to put their name behind it.
Out of curiosity, was it delivered to you represented as a finished job or did you take it prior to them calling it finished?
The clutch bite point is adjustable with pedal travel, at least on oem setups if that is what you are referring to. I've heard multiple complaints about their shifter feel.
My car is still not complete over TWO years after EAG's contractual delivery date --and I have never been contacted by Chris. I am 72, so how do I get back that lost time and use? What is a reasonable solution?
When we get older loss of use becomes a very big consideration. Sorry for your trouble. Your solution is probably dictated by the current status of the car.
Depends if it’s a 599 or an F430? 599 setup was released not long ago. F430 is a more proven task. OE manual 599’s are $600k. Worth the wait?
Yes. If you're going to have a LinkedIn, then you should put something on it. Or you can decide not to, and that's also fine. It's just a bit odd to decide to do a LinkedIn page and then have nothing on it. Either do something properly or don't do it. Is that an analogy for the company, not sure.
Attention all 599 owners and enthusiasts! I have some unbelievable good news: after months of painstaking work, I am proud to have finally completed the groundbreaking firmware update that will make your 599 gated conversion cars drive better than you ever imagined! I know you've been eagerly awaiting this update, and I'm so excited to finally share it with you. The factory gated cars always had a hidden flaw in their code that caused the revs to drop uncomfortably when converted to gated. This was especially noticeable in Sports mode, where the car never really felt right. I worked through every line of code until I found the final piece of the puzzle. It was a tiny error in the air/fuel ratio modulation for forced amplitude. Once I fixed this, the revs no longer dropped out so aggressively, and the car now feels perfectly balanced in all driving modes. I sent the latest version of the firmware to EAG this morning, and they have already completed extensive testing. The results are in: the updated 599 is now the best driving experience you will ever have! It can truly be described as a big, bad boy with a ton more torque. If you have already had your 599 converted to gated, please contact your conversion garage to get the update immediately. EAG is holding back on shipping any new cars until the update is complete, so expect to see a lot of new 599s hitting the streets in the coming days and weeks. I'm so ecstatic about what we've accomplished here, its changing the history of the 599 (!), and I can't wait for you to experience the difference for yourself. Thank you for your patience and support. A video will be posted up in due time showing how nicely it now drives.. Sincerely, 360trev Image Unavailable, Please Login
