Any aftermarket battery replacement for the F8? The stock one is a headache, need to get a better one, thanks for the feedback!

No need to delete the thread. But the answer may be in the F8 section. Leaving it may help someone else down the road.

I bought an AGM48 battery, didnt want the antigravity lithium one because I still want to use the OEM Ferrari battery charger (can't use it with the lithium battery), I haven't installed it yet but I am sure it will be better than the stock one

I’m wondering why so many complain about batteries in Ferraris…. And I don’t seem to have the issue

I had an 05 F430 for 2 years and never replaced it.

I had an 07 F430 for nine years and 29k miles and replaced it 3 times. (With interstate batteries bought from Ferrari dealer for $150$-$250 ea)

    I have a 21 F8 with 4600 miles and have never replaced it…

And I’ve never used a battery charger or trickle charger even once on them…

When I’d go away for some weeks with the F430’s, I’d just switch the power off under the bonnet.

The F8 just sits in garage and gets driven usually a couple times a week though.

Here’s my best guess. I’ve never locked my cars. So they’ve never sat locked with alarm on (if there is one). Maybe this is a reason?

I would hope if we need to replace the battery we can dispense with the daily charging process.

I have owned 3 Ferraris (one 488 and 2 F8s), all of them had problems with the battery only at 3000 miles, it is ridiculous that you have to tender it if you are not using it for more than 4 days, I have several GT3s and BMW M cars, none of them need to be tendered if I don't use them for 4-5 weeks, it is not only my problem, read the chats, a lot of F8s with the same problem

I don't lock it either, it remains unlocked for a few days (5 days) and if it is not with the tender it wont start again

Ye I agree… my AMG sits for many weeks. It’s 4 years old this month and is the original battery and perfectly fine. But again, as I said, my Ferraris have been fine also (within reason) Replacing it 3 times in 9 years isn’t too bad.

What does AGM mean? I just get regular Interstate batteries if I need one

AGM battery means "absorbent glass mat" and refers to the fine glass fiber separator between the positive and negative plates that helps absorb all the battery acid. AGM Batteries are advanced lead-acid batteries. Being an acid battery you still can use the OEM Ferrari tender unlike with lithium batteries

Ah interesting. Thanks for the definition... no, I've never got one of those but sounds like if and when my battery goes, I'll go with one of those. Those arent those $3000+ batteries are they? Some type I read once that defies gravity or something? I hope not cos i'm definitely not paying that for a battery lol

haha no, the AGM is only a $330 battery, the Braille I48CS lithium battery is like $2000, the antigravity lithium battery like $800
