I will be worth the wait, and the drop in trade value. That much I know for certain. The 392 is a masterpiece.

2014 Ford Escape so the 25% part is only $3k......but I wanted that $3k LOL

Could have bought a decent Roman gold coin with that.

Have full doors too. Much more open feeling with half’s.

How does that vehicle drive on hiways? Road noise? Wanders much based on pavement quality?

Above 60 MPH the wind hits the windshield and makes noise but not unbearable. With the wider base, 35” tires not much wandering at all. Compared to our Range Rover, the road manners and quietness are not there which is exactly why I love it.

For me, no tire noise, just wind noise (I have a SOT so it is a little louder) and most importantly engine noise.

Doesn’t wander much on pavement of any type, does require micro adjustments alot due to the lack of aerodynamics and Texas winds.

But feels solid and planted, with better cornering ability than I expected. It is very well mannered…..a big change over the JK and the mid-2000s model

Interesting there is a long wait for these, but discounts on regular wranglers, yet these are going out of production, genius.

Got 10% discount on the 392 also. Not sure where you got the idea these are going out of production yet…..now building 2024s, but geez the prices.

My car was $84k sticker when I ordered it in November 2021. The same build now would be $97k and you’re stuck with red seats and the wheels suck compared to the 2023 and earlier models. Don’t know what jeep was thinking with red seats and those wheels as the only “choice” for 2024.

I’m fine with the red interior. We can always put some seat covers in later if it gets in our nerves. We ordered Silver in October. Received the email from Jeep that ours shipped Thursday. No idea when it arrives, but pretty excited to see/drive it. We ordered the sunroof option. I think it is a good compromise between hard and soft top for us. Rented one and really liked it. Have had the hard top since 2014. Much cooler in the hot summer than the soft top and less wind noise. But we found that we didn’t take any of the tops off because I’m too lazy apparently.

Sunroof? You mean the one touch? If so, that's the best option.

The technical name is Sky One-Touch Power Top and it is a MUST have option. I have had 10 Wranglers since 96 and my last 3 have had that option. I use to rig up a pulley system in the garage for yanking the hard top off, then for years I used this contraption: https://topliftpros.com/products/jeep-hardtop-removal-tool?matchtype=&network=x&device=c&keyword=&campaign=20744529000&adgroup=&gclid=CjwKCAiAyp-sBhBSEiwAWWzTngzcf-Rp_FqhbnbUuvOopoylq6OtMhZ-o0DbjQxaQJHhvw7C1Ba2RxoClu0QAvD_BwE, needless to say, the One-Touch is WAY more convenient.

The rental seemed fantastic, and frankly, that option is what prompted looking to order a new one. Then I saw the 392. And then checked this thread and one in the for sale forum. Everyone who has one loves it and that sealed the deal. Expected delivery is mid January.

Agreed, the soft top looks low rent sloppy and the hard top is a pain to put on and take off if you really like open air cars.....one touch to rule them all

After 7 months, the thing is just mental....fun. You press the start button and the jeep wiggles once as the engine fires up. Love the wiggle.

It is also the best riding and handling Wrangler ever....the factory Engineers redid all the suspension components to fit in the 392

If I had to choose 1 vehicle it would be this jeep. 2nd would be my Urus Perf, the other cars are great but not as useable. #1 is the jeep for sure.

I am looking forward to driving it. I figured it would be just like our current one just with a bigger engine. It sounds like it is quite an improvement…

I totally agree. I’ve had 10 Wranglers since 1996. The 392 is in a completely different category.
