Thanks. Red over beige was my dream color combo. For Porsche not Ferrari. LOL. I think Guards Red is the best non Paint to Sample color, but I'm biased. While I was waiting for my order a sapphire blue GT3 (think it was 991 era) went screaming by. Sounded and looked great.

The tacos were good and not skimpy.

Where do you find 2" pork chops? I gotta ask our small town butcher if they'd do that for us!

We bought the wine at Antonelli Winery in Montefalco. It is about 180 miles south of Florence.

This was our lovely wine tasting hostess. I love that woman. If only I was still single.

Haven't posted stuff in a while. Been just doing basic grilling. For some reason I decided to do a dill juice brine with the leftover liquid from pickled okra jar.

We'll see how this goes tomorrow. Threw in some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

We cooked up some Peri Peri BBQ quails with boiled quail eggs for dinner.. for dessert we found this salted caramel Viennetta ice cream cake at good old Cosco, you got to love that store for what amazing things you can buy! I haven’t had a Viennetta since I was a little girl, this one is a little different as it’s caramel whereas I used to eat the chocolate version…. Still good :):):)

I've never tried Shake Shack. There's one across the street from the Five Guys a friend and I visit. Will have to nudge him to try and compare. The burger looks tasty!

A good friend underwent an operation Wednesday; her Mom is staying over to help during her recovery. Since they missed out on Father's Day, I treated them to braised short ribs, letting the flavor messages reach my Dad in the heavens above.

First roasted the ribs for 2 hours. Then 4 hours in a mirepoix bath with a parsley and savory bouquet garni. Final 30 minutes at 400F. Carrots cooked in beef stock. Brussels sprouts. Mashies. 2005 CDP chaser.

Pretty darn good; nothing left on everyone's plate :) (except bones and pats of fat).

Looks fantastic and even better that you treated them.

  21. Go easy on the Shake Shack sauce, or ask for it on the side.

Some (esp. yours truly) find that it makes the burger a bit too salty, and hides the bovine beauty of the burger patty.
