mm or thou. Whatever. The numbers were right, I was just having a go at MPMP's argument at the time. And as if anyone would set their clearances based on an internet post.
1. 1 plus the 1/43 scale F40 2. 5 years 3. None 4. Refer to question 3 Oh, yes coffee would be great one day. I have been meaning to do a carby run one day but my car has been off the road. Plus getting a leave pass at the moment is hard with 2 little ones. You did e-mail some info to me on one of the trips from last year. I wasn't sure at the time if I could go in my day car.
Far out, buy a mazda. How old is your car and what model is it? Gees, Ferrari are getting lazy (presuming its a ferrari and something not made in china)
Hi Ian, I'm currently rebuilding a Daytona LSD and just wondered if you had any images of the configuration of the slip clutch plates to compare to the ones i have in mine, im not sure mine have been fitted correctly previously and can't find any information? Many thanks.
I don't have photos. Here is the diff cross section from the workshop manual. Also the plates from one side of a Hewland LSD, which is the same type. The output plates (teeth facing internally) are sandwiched between the input plates (driven by the body casing). Quite hard to fit the plates incorrectly, unless they're out of order (not sandwiched). The transaxle internals are ZF, the LSD is probably shared with BMW's from the period (BMW Bavaria was Ferrari's go-to car for parts selection) so you might get help from a BMW specialist or a ZF place.
