We recently purchased a very cool period "Hot Rod" Miura example. Miura P400 Chassis #3438. Based on all the records, in 1978 a California entrepreneur commissioned, fabricator and racer, Arnold Zucchi to paint his Miura P400. Zucchi Carrozzeria, finished the car in Nero with Nero accents, slightly flared the rear fenders and added 15" BBS Magnesium racing wheels, similar to the wheels on a Porsche 935. Remarkably, the car still wears its original interior, all body stamps and matching numbers engine. It appears to have spent its life in California from 1973 until today?? Does anyone have period photos of this car in California? It should arrive to Miami any day. I will share photos.
John posted the photos of #3438 on Instagram. Very cool find! I especially like the BBS wheels, as nice as the original Campagnolos are.
At 2:49 Lando Norris arrives in a blue Miura S at the Monte Carlo casino. Does anyone have an idea of the #? Sills are the same as the body colour which isn't correct (right?). A news site calls Royal Blue but can't find anything about that, but beautiful colour either way.
Miura P400 3504, this is not an S. 13/05/1968 delivered new to Italy via Ferretti Broidi of Modena for a Qatari client. Originally Bianco over Nero interior. Then to the UK, then to France where it was changed to Rosso over Nero. Now changed again to dark metallic blue over orange (a custom non-factory livery) and fitted with SV wheels.
Cheers, thanks for the info. The chrome window trim made me think it was an S, but looking at the back there's no S visible either.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Do SV wheels fit into the rear shell of a P400 or was there a little „help“ needed? (what a lucky guy – and what (???) a cool color scheme for a Miura!!!)
I like the color too, if an F1 star making $20m per year calls me looking for a Miura, I'd suggest something in original livery, restored authentically, probably an SV or an SVJ.
Im a bit embarassed by his tyres https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/vintage-tyres/avon-cr6zz.html we have not been able to supply the Proper Pirelli Cinturato CN12 for a while. However i do hope to have them back soon. All being well the fronts in November and the rear 255/60VR15 CN12m which is the really difficult one, we are hoping to get made agian in January. https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/pirelli-collezione/cinturato-cn12.html
I don't think this short video was posted in this thread yet. Eddie van Halen briefly showing Miura S #4701. Pardon me if it was posted before.
