499 P racing car is not taken into account as customer car, and apparently 499P stradale it's not coming anytime soon for now, plus IF it will be released as Stradale "i.e. road legal", means will not be faster than track only 488M. Unless they make it track only watered down, at huge price.
I think maybe the Hypercar XX in 2027 may be a contender on some long straight circuits, but honestly it's up to Ferrari. 488M has 700 PS and 1000 kg @230 kmh, are they interested in pushing this boundary for another competizioni GT or XX car?

Most likely, you'll need to wait till 296 GT Modificata...

Of course, but it’s a spider. If you are that serious about aero and performance, the mistake was already made.

That's likeley, still, hard to pedict if the XX version of next halo car can rival with GTE/GT3 unbopped car designed on Nordschleife aka 488GTM, XX are amazing on straights, but only started playing seriously with aero with FXXK EVO.

Having said that, if they are really competing against AMG one and Valkyrie AMR, it's finally time to use huge splitters, wings, S-ducts, and possibly fans from underbody

I like it looks great, the special versions should be road legal race cars imo

also agree that the reasoning for the wing is they know that in the future to match rivals performance there's no other way

looking forward to hearing all the specific details and seeing some lap times

Excluding a plate holder, seems they are trying to exploit the previously plain surface present in normal version
    Image Unavailable, Please Login

In VS it now seems to be a lifted structure with tensile supports on the sides and a sort of sensor/box in the front

Same as normal one’s ADAS position. Structure is lifted but more or less same.

forward radar for automated nannies (AEB, adaptive cruise control, etc) question is, optional or required, I think is now required by EU regulation

In person the car is a beast and the wing is a must - spider or coupe. Its a different livery theme as you can see. They also did a quick video of the shifts and sounds of the car - imagine Challenge Car replica but in an SF90 form with many other tricks etc. Tomorrow it is!

The rear light bar looks like it came straight from a VAG parts bin. Very unimaginative from Ferrari.

I hope the wing is an option because the car in those pictures wouldn't look out of place in a Mansory catalogue.

To me rear light bar is much better than semi squared round tail lights
No way wing will be option, this car is basically made for who wants a wing, and removing it is like removing V12 From Ferrari Enzo

Rear light is damn good, mutch better looking than SF90's rear light, much more modern and more wow factor.
Wing is needed on this car, this is a track optimized version from SF90.
I think it looks very good on this car, they finally use a more efficient wing like the opponents.

There's been plenty of track-focused models from Ferrari over the last couple of decades and none of them needed a giant rear wing.

I've noticed a trend among some Porsche GT owners that involves removing the rear wing from their cars to give it a more subtle appearance. If Ferrari don't give SF90 VS buyers a choice then it won't be long before some folks take the initiative to remove the rear wing themselves.

Maybe, but it will be faster on the track with wings

Then they should buy the basic(SF90) model, it is also very fast on the track.

It will definitely go (marginally) faster around a track with the fixed wing but you and I both know that plenty of these cars will be sold to buyers that couldn't care less about lap times and will never go near a race track. At the end of the day the VS is a relatively heavy road car with tons of drivers aids and it won't have a hope of keeping up with an equivalent purpose-built track car so the argument that it needs the wing doesn't really carry much weight.

It's a track focus car it's all about the downforce (You can't just unbolt the wing, not safe) so the answer is simple don't want the wing stick to the SF90 AF.
Ferrari have hundreds more lined up behind you waiting for a Vs spot. Or on the other hand pay Ferrari a f@!K ton to make a custom wingless one off.
