I would not call that insanity. Trying how to achieve new and different looks utilizing what technology will allow is what the designer is supposed to do. Comment section for that article bring up some other interesting GM products: 3rd gen Camaro/Firebird, the early 1960's bubble top, reverse curve Chevrolet B bodies. I do not mind the bent glass. It made an interesting way for a different termination of the roof for its time.
Alternatively, breezeway back window over at the competition goes inverted. They did eventually make a Maverick as well, didn't they? (sorry ...) https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1963-mercury-monterey-s-55-427/

Recently the Ferrari Design Team hit it out of the park with 2 Red Dot Awards. From Mr. Manzoni's page: Image Unavailable, Please Login "Fantastic ceremony last night in Essen at the Aalto Theatre, for the Red Dot Award: one of the most prestigious prizes in the world, considered the Oscar of design... It was the first time in the history of this award that two Red Dot "Best of the Best" were given to the same car manufacturer, in the same edition. Very proud about my team of the Ferrari Design Center!"
Congratulations but it looks like a couple of the group need to learn how to dress for an awards event.

It looks like a FIAT Multipla and a SmartCar had some special time together in the garage one night and this was the result. All the best, Andrew.
What does everyone think of the new Singer DLS-T? https://www.topgear.com/car-news/first-look/pick-your-jaw-floor-singers-bewinged-700bhp-dls-t-project
It’s outrageous !!! I love that it’s unapologetic for that. A lot of cool details to take in. Want to see if on the road, especially from the back where it looks like it ate a 911, just crazy. I keep on going back and forth whether or not I like the “touring” version or the full blown wing better.
