Factory GT4 color?

Is this a factory GT4 color? Name? Seen other greens but not this one. What say the experts?

Not a standard range but Ferrari has always been willing to do custom colors for a price. They can tell you.

Where is this car? Do you have a link to it? Very interested in learning more about it, but that's definitely not an original color.

 

The car is still for sale. The colour is Verde Pallido according to the seller.
I really, really like the colour. Even though it is not original.
Seller says that the car was at Geneva show in 1975 (not sure if it was on the Ferrari-stand or somewhere else) in a yellowish colour (if I remember correctly).
It was painted red later and now in the verde pallido. Interior was black, but is cream now.

The car looks like a new on. But some panel gaps are less perfect.
I will add some pictures. I wonder what you guys think of it.

It is from june 1975 according to the seller.
They are now asking 100K (was 130/140 1,5 years ago)

I was wondering for example if this is normal on a GT4. There is quite a gap between the rear boot if you compare it to the the side body panel.

And also the bumper is very close to the bodywork above the exhaust. But beneath the indicator light there is quite a gap:

And why is it a poor car in your opinion?

 

Very reminiscent of the 250 GTO famously driven by Innes Ireland and Masten Gregory after being just as famously not driven by Stirling Moss:

Yes that is the colour. The owner loves that 250 GTO and that's why he painted it that colour.

 

Doesn’t look like a mk1 , a 75 .
The front under bumper grill is mk2 so talking 77 upwards .
The horse on the rear is the wrong one it’s too big ( there are many different sizes knocking around the internet )
As said the rear bumper fit is out of alignment.
If it was a 75 it would have the “ Dino “ badge on the nose .

Colour is fine if you like it , that’s not the real issue . Your choice you like it nobodies business.

€60 K ish maybe more if the mechanics are tip top fully reconditioned etc etc ….needs nothing, wants nothing .

But it needs the rear bumper resetting and the correct badging eventually. The badge thing is no biggie as most have been molested over the yrs and the exact transition form “ Dino “ to Ferrari was stretched out over 18 months with all sorts of versions / combinations mostly done by dealers . Of course every body shop after (. You say it’s had 2 colour changes ?) has replaced / deleted badges in there way .

As a result of the factory muddle , the dealer muddle , various body shop reincarnations …..it’s very difficult to define the exact correct badging on GT 4 . I don’t think theres one definitive correct answer ?

The horse's tail was sticking out a bit and indeed it was too big.
I am going to ask the seller if the engine etc was rebuilt, because this is not mentioned in any of the adverts.
So probably not totally rebuilt.

 

Haha! I always thought that was the Sterling Moss car! Please pull my self-certified Ferrari historian card. Yes - the color is closest.

Per the GT4 at hand... I looked at a number of mint green cars. The new ones all have more pop. The internets say the GTO color is called Verde Pallido. I see some newer homage paint jobs to the GTO. There look to be some light variation in the shade.

Per earlier posts the official colors were:
Verde Germoglio
Verde Medio
Verde Pino

I don't see that sort of 70's almost neon green, similar to the Miura color....

 

Not convinced.
Mines fully aligned at the corners and the bumper fit is symmetrical.

I believe the horse is correct size / location .How ever the “208 GT 4 “ had long ago by a previous owner been substituted for Farrari .

AND the ….. bumper etc .

Sure the badging might NOW be different on them all , but the panel alignment shouldn’t be .Unless there’s been a not very good repair(s) .
But then with any 50 yr ish car it’s unrealistic to think they have never been in a repair shop .
Panel miss alignment sticks out .
This one may have had a rear end shunt or rear 1/4 replaced and the rear boot lid wasn’t fixed when they jigged it .Too late after welding up to fit the deck and bumper to find misalignment.
