Hi everyone. im a pretty new member to the group as I just bought a 2006 f430 spider from auction after the fort Meyers floods.

Water line was right around the bottom of the radio so pretty much everything under that got wet.
so far I've replaced the main harness including fuse blocks and relays. have full power to the cluster and cranks but no fire at the moment.

Long story short I have some communication/can codes which im still pin pointing whether they are from battery voltage or connection and trying to rule out what I can.

Does anyone have the full wiring schematics with diagrams wire colors and everything? TIA

ps. Im in metro Detroit area if anyone knows anyone nearby worth poking around Image Unavailable, Please Login

The F430 diagrams are generally not available. You may find some dodgy websites with poor ratings offering them for U$300 in non-interactive format. I scored one of these for the Scud and they are not very legible, are missing some pages and have a lots of (OEM Ferrari) errors in them. e.g. one pin on a particular plug had 3 wires going to it from unrelated systems. These diagrams were probably produced by someone getting temporary access to the Ferrari database (at a cost), taking screenshots of the diagrams and converting the screenshots to pdf.

I coloured some of the diagrams and tried to resolve the discrepancies, but I doubt they would be sufficient for a project as big as yours. Also, I've been told that there quite a few differences between the Scud diagrams and the standard car, especially in relation to the engine stuff.

If you have cranking, that's a good sign. It means that the Immobiliser is talking to the F1 TCU (and the TCU is happy to crank the engine). No fire could be a direct result of the Immobiliser ECU not talking to the RH engine ECUs or the RH Engine ECU not talking to the LH Engine ECU. Or there might be an engine sensor not talking to the engine ECUs (crank sensors, accelerator pedal sensor, etc).

The basic CAN network is just green and white wires

    Slightly less blurriness here:

(Your car won't have the "ion" box)

Here's a diagram showing a fraction of the wiring going to the engine ECU. There are big chunks missing (including the wiring from the Immobiliser ECU to the RH ECU)

    https://www.dropbox.com/t/8llZz1UmSGhkJShg

It does show wiring to the fuel pumps.

I guess you've checked the basics, like looking for fuel pressure at the rails?

thanks for the in depth reply. It is not a scud and the immobilizer isn't locking it out or cutting fuel. it sounds like it wants to start and is close but doesn't fully fire. my guess is 10+ month old gas with possible water mixture (already changed plugs) . used a x431 scanner and all 8 injectors passed "click" test and both fuel pumps sound strong.

as mentioned there are a string of can errors from possible water damage and or wire connections at plugs (new ends to old ends) as well as battery voltage .

both ECUs and e-diff seem to have been sealed water tight w no internal damage.

Still doesn't make a whole lot of sense (to me)

No live battery power to both ECUs? Fuses PSF21/PSF21 and PDF21/PDF23 have power? (and Maxi fuse PSF28 behind the left hand seat)? Power on pin 62 of both Motronic ECUs?

Immobilizer Malfunction? How are you getting cranking?

Steering wheel malfunction? How is the starter button working?

Coolant temp sensor high value? I've heard of a faulty coolant temperature sensor stopping engine start (firing) on a 550. You can't take anything for granted on these cars.

    Slightly better, I suppose.

Why is the Immobiliser not getting power? The only diagram I have for the Immo ECU is this one:

    https://www.dropbox.com/t/v3w0idFTOTtE3Lgc

I suppose battery power is power from fuse PDF14 going to pin 3 of plug B (pink/red wire).

I've been trying to figure out this circuit for a while. It's like the Immo ECU sends an unlock signal on the "W-Line" to the RH Engine ECU via the relaxed contacts of relay PRD1. Once the RH ECU is happy, it energises PDR1. What happens next, I don't know. It just seems to allow the RH ECU to talk to the OBD2 port.

The LH Bank problems probably won't help the car run. MAF issues and ??? Not sure what a Pcv Powerstage is.

I don't know if e-Diff issues are going to affect engine ops.

It's late here... Perhaps the experts can chime in.

To make things a little more interesting not sure if related but I’m not getting battery power to 16 pin on obd connector so I jumped that wire to battery to get it to power up so I can connect scanner

Video of Current starting status. Fully charged battery just drained out bad fuel and put 10 fresh gallons and spark plugs. Sounds like possible bad ignition coils not firing.

P1305 is not amongst the list of codes I have for the F430. P13xx Ferrari codes seem related to timing (crank sensors, timing variators, etc) and knock sensors.

Do you have these diagnostic tables for the F430? (8Mb pdf)

I do not. Thank you. I’ve searched everywhere and realized it’s pretty dead ended without input from group member help!

Note that without a breakout box, you may have to backprobe some of the plugs to get the voltage and oscilloscope readings.

This image should help you understand the table's "Mxx" and "Fxx"

Ignore my examples (I'm not sure if they are the same on the standard F430)

M is the small plug, F is the large plug. The image is a view of the ECU connectors looking at the contact side (not the wire side)

I would have expected that as a STARTING POINT for a project such as this ALL fluids would be changed (and flushed) first before tackling anything else.
Of course, my point of view. Good luck!

Yup. Changed all fluids and they had no water. Siphoned out all gas didn’t seem like it had water but was definitely old/bad/dark

Seems to be cranking fine with about 50psi of fuel pressure and 70psi of oil pressure. Pulled a couple random plugs and they are sparking. New clean gas. Still seems like right side wants to fire and left doesn’t. Would starting fluid be a dumb idea?

Depends who you ask. There's an old saying... There are old pilots and bold pilots, but no old and bold pilots :D

Were you able to do any of the diagnostic checks? Or at least those related to timing sensors, throttle control, timing variators, injectors, MAF, etc?

You do have a MAF code. Have you tried swapping the MAFs?

Regarding your Pcv code. All I could find was this:

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/07-599-gtb-need-help-with-pcv-code-right-ecu.621007/

I'm assuming that is not stopping engine start (firing).

Was hoping they were voltage related but also that the pcv or maf will not cause no start but jus run rough. Ecm isn't pulling any other codes.

Any valves in particular? Do the throttle valves cycle when the key is turned on? (I don't know if the position is visible from the outside).
