    I disagree, it's that bad. Enjoy the race. There will be enough security to make the event safe.

    As for the rest of Chicago? it will be yet another weekend of gang shootings and multiple deaths.

    Don't forget Kim, she is still one of the main causes also. But downtown for the most part is pretty safe other than the flash crowds.

    It turned out to be a pretty good race. The track is pretty fast down Lake Shore Drive, around 150 mph. For a street race not to bad, and glad to see a first time New Zealand driver win!!

    I wonder how long it will take NYC or LA to decide they want a NASCAR race in their city streets.

    I could see LA doing it a-la the old Long Beach GP. I can’t picture NYC doing it.

    NYC did an electric car race, but that was to show how much they embrace the EV movement. A dirty NASCAR ICE race would be a hard sell :rolleyes:
