They are a funny thing AP editions.

I have a few AP prints and books.

Some say then are worth more, some less and some say around the same as a standard numbered edition.

I've never been able to find a definitive answer.

Best to be numbered which they ( AP) are not.

We all have our preferences, but what counts is the condition of the book. A mint copy can cost a multiple of a worn-out one.
And of course, signed copies (depending on who signed) are desirable to some collectors.

All things being equal would you take a signed AP edition over a signed regular numbered edition?

In identical condition the numbered book is the most appealing. The most collectible.

Today I received an email from Daniel Klein, McKlein Publishing, Rallye/Racingwebshop, in Cologne, Germany, informing that the book "Ferrari 550 Maranello Prodrive-The LastV12 Ferrari to Win at Le Mans" is delayed once again and deliveries are supposed to start mid/late August 2023.

    No further comment.......

Shouldn’t it arrive within August, I told them to cancel my order and refund the payment.

Bellu has also published some very good books... He's an important motoring journalist with a huge archive of vintage photos - his father was one of the founders of l'Auto-Journal. He also has a very good and interesting knowledge of the history of car design.
Yet he's written tons of books and not all of them are very interesting, but I get the impression that he's always trying to find a different angle.
This book is built entirely around a comparison between Ferrari and Masserati. It doesn't always work, but it's still different.

On the other hand, I don't have much praise for Glénat éditor. Very mainstream books, of mediocre quality, most of which are translations - and most of the time, the translation is so bad that you stop reading them after a few pages. There are a few exceptions, such as the French version of Peter Nygaard's Formula One, which is surprisingly good.

I have the impression that Bellu publishes a book a month for them... That's hardly an exaggeration. It's industrial writing. Fortunately he has interesting things to say.

No. 59 of The Official Ferrari Magazine is out, featuring the Purosangue as cover story.

Does anyone know, whether it features the recent Le Mans race as well?

I'd be surprised buddy, they usually set out the content of magazines like those months ahead of time.

No, there are only 10 pages about the first 3 races in Sebring, Portimao and Spa.

Todays mail call arrived just before the weekend.

Plenty of reading over the upcoming days.

Thank you for those book suggestions all those years ago Balsamina.

I've finally got around to tracking down and filling some of the obvious gaps in my library with a combination of missing classics and some new releases.

Many are now hard to find at a fair price and in mint condition. All arrived wrapped in plastic dustcovers.

Now less then 10 or so older books still needed to pretty much complete my comprehensive Ferrari book collection.

Out of that pack wich I have all but 50 years with Ferraris , the Daytona book is the standout. Klemantaski book also great with many nice vintage photos. A champions view was a bargain when it came out.

Champions view is a true "bargain" no longer. :(

The Daytona book was actually the most expensive of the lot.
