because it's overly convoluted in order to create "drama" and takes almost as long as the race itself?

    same for F1

I miss the old days when everyone got one 30 minute session, figure it out.

Hopefully Graham realizes he's a mid-pack, journeyman driver better suited to team management and selling cars than driving them

Graham isn’t the quickest guy out there but great racecraft. Running 12th right now

Harvey is the low hanging fruit on that team

Grosjean with another unforced error that he blamed on something else, no way he stays at Andretti.

True I can't support him anymore after years and years of waiting for a mental improvement that always seems to come only to vanish, great natural speed, nice guy but an idiot.

between F1 and IndyCar he’s spent a decade at the highest levels of the sport and seems to have learned nothing

I think quite a few drivers need to exit after this season:
    Grojean
    Harvey
    Castroneves
    Pagenaud
    Sting Ray Robb

MSR might not have to look very far for their replacements.

I don’t know what to think about Helio and Simon. did they both forget how to drive and give engineering feedback? doubtful. but how awful MSR is with two guys like that is perplexing.

agree with the rest of your list. I’d add DeFrancesco too.

MSR is fairly new to IndyCar. And Pagenaud’s calamitous accident at Mid-Ohio was down to brake failure.

Helio is past his prime except at Indy and Simon seems to have lost his spark. He had it when I spoke with him in 2019 but now....

This is Shank's 5th full season in IndyCar, they previously won in Atlantics and several iterations of prototype sports cars, have a technical alliance with Andretti, and have managed to win the Indy 500 and had better results with Harvey (!). they are regressing as a team.

sure, Simon is 39 and Helio is 48, but Dixon is 42 and TK is 48 and they've both managed to be competitive. Simon and Helio have 40 wins, 5 Indy 500 wins, an IndyCar championship, and a couple of prototype championships between them.

something is seriously wrong at that team. could be funding, culture, engineering...who knows.

Brake failure resulting in huge crash...not sure I would want to go back in the car. Sometimes unpleasant management ruins a team and things go downhill....

is he refusing to get back in and using medical clearance as cover?

if so just release him and move on.

Race was replayed on CNBC today (Sat 22nd).
Didn't know that was going to happen until just before.
(Since Dish dropped the SD feeds, I've been having to reprogram the DVR for HD channels. So my generic search for "Indycar" picked up the CNBC replay.)
