aloha -- i am watching a f430 and an f12 and cannot decide which would be best for honolulu and for value (i guess the 430 will go for $140k and the f12 for $380k, so price also a big consideration). any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. mahalo, sergio

You live in town? Or you talking about just to drive occasionally through Honolulu? Everything on the island is so slow, I would find the spyder version of both of those to try and enjoy the experience a little more. Bring the outside in.

4 years on Oahu (Laie), current F12 owner in NV.

F430 spider is likely the more fun and lively choice. Lighter, more mechanical feel. I dream about cruising Kam Hwy with the top down. I would even say a manual 360 might be even more fun.

F12 is far more powerful, smoother, and a lot more car - but given the traffic and low speed limits I think it would be an exercise in frustration. Here it is best on our wide open desert and mountain sweepers, long straight highways, etc.

thanks, everyone. the f430 spyder went for almost $170k this morning (more than i wanted to spend on that one); looking at another one with more miles. should have bought the 575 superamerica two weeks ago. waiting for my 812 gts someday. thanks again.

I’ve had my F430 spider on oahu, for the last three years. Extremely usable. I use it for fun Drives, also been known do grocery store, Costco & Home Depot runs. Except for blowing out one of the tires in a pothole which is par for the course on island, it has been super usable.

I would second that sentiment. I have a 360 spider, and have really enjoyed having it on Oahu.

    Hi Sergio,

could I ask how the process was to ship the 458 over? How did you find the carrier? Approx cost and time?
    Thank you!

Sorry for delayed response. I used BAT to ship from Illinois to Vegas. It would recommend going directly to the vendor. I think it was prestige.
I drove it from Vegas to Long Beach Matson pier.
Matson Long Beach very experienced and good. Their prices are online. I think it was 1800.
email me if you want. [email protected] good luck
