We’re planning a brief (2-3 nights maximum) visit to Huntsville in August or early September. Any recommendations for the best hotels and restaurants would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

My favorite restaurant in Huntsville is Ol' Heidelberg. Why would Huntsville have good German restaurants? Think rocket scientists.......

For best location, I would recommend the 106 Jefferson Huntsville, Curio Collection. It is located in the middle of downtown Huntsville, and within walking distance to many good restaurants (Commerce Kitchen, Domaine South, The Bottle).

Book ahead for The Bottle and ask for the Mafia Table. It's a neat semi-private cubby in the bar area at the front of the restaurant, but usually not available unless you book in advance.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
