This power race is just absurd.
Gaining weight is a lot more difficult task..

Wrong, only casuals who can't ****ing drive prefer that. And nothing is stopping Ferrari from extracting over 1000 HP from a NA V10.

It's an open secret because of the crumbs they have been spilling in the press and at events: hybrid and a certain fabled engine maker involved who specializes in high-revving NA engines... etc.

Hypercar game is getting complicated; I wonder how Ferrari will be able to launch something that will be a reference in such an environment. Horsepower figures are getting crazy.

Ferrari will be fine, Ferrari is bestseller, most wanted name in car industry :) even if we don't like fat hybrid and crappy sounding turbo ....

Who doesn't like hybrids like the LaFerrari or the Valkyrie?

And 918 Spyder, had one for a couple of months, great car but prefer my AF SF90 for third of the price, oddly similar numbers of 918 Spyders in UK as Assetto Fiorano Coupe in UK.

they have no other choice other than to throw as much hp as they can at it and pray it remains semi relevent performance wise for more than a year as things shift towards 3,000hp

It just won't be able to. They can't even get same/more horsepower than a shat-old mclaren speed tail with a similar powertrain setup (4.0 v8 turbo hybrid).
However, I bet they will manage to have the worst real world weight to power ratio compared to other hypercars: they are masters at that. :)

    hahaha :D
    No.

The new and "best fo the best" by Ferrari ALWAYS born already "dead and buried" in terms of power compared to even old hypercars (Bugatti, Egg etc ...
not to mention rimac and other exotic manufacturers)
I'd be surprised if they barely reach 1200hp that others reached a decade ago (at least...)

It's not just about a power figure, but overall performance and power/weight. You can have 1000 hp with 1000 kilos, or 2000 hp with 2000 kilos. They will accelerate the same and the lighter car with brake and steer better. The more powerful car will only have a top speed advantage, but we already know that Ferrari isn't bothere with top speed anymore; since the Enzo their hypercars are pegged at 350+ kph (the LaFerrari has been clocked at 360+ real speed, but they are not chasing top speed, that's the point). Ferrari hypercars are at the forefront of performance, when they are launched and I don't see this changing with the new model. Emotions are also important. So, please learn your car history before making such statements.

Ferrari don't set any reference standard even in those aspects. Power/weights ratio as a "plus" for Ferrari? In wich planet? :D
