Looking for SuperAmerica at a very fair price, preferably with the GTC package. Open to different color options (the more unusual the better :)

After 45 years of primarily one or two Ferraris with the last few years having six I have decided to take a different direction. Ford GT was one. Still keeping the GTC, BB, and 458. One day an 812 GTS is supposed to be built. At this stage I want to try a few different models. 599 is gone. F12 and SA are next. I don't think of it as cleaning house. Just changing the furniture ;)

Hi Henry......the mileage is 18,819. I have owned the car for 14 years. Car is in great shape. Just spent $16k at Ferrari of Atlanta for major, new pads&rotors, motor mounts and Michelins. Top is perfect and operates flawlessly. No accidents.

So do. But I may be biased: mine is black also (with black leather and gorgeous white stitching)!

Well, the worse in 575SA parlance just happened to me. I recently purchased a mint, low mileage 575 SuperAmerica with a perfect roof. What a car! Last night, driving home and passing under an overpass something hit the roof of my 575. Nothing horrifying. No big “bump” or loud sound. I forgot about it almost immediately. Today I pulled the cover off the car only to discover a chip out of the leading edge of the glass panel and 4 - 10” to 12” spider cracks extending away from it. Sheesh. I hear these panels are almost impossible to find. I would appreciate any ideas or direction. Thank you.

I am sorry to hear about the SA roof. Somewhere here on FChat there is a story about a guy making carbon fiber top to replace the glass roof, The last I heard about the glass it cost $120k. If you could find one. The carbon top was half. Still pretty steep though.

Sorry to hear this...I am not offering an endorsement here, but there was a guy who had fabricated a few of these in Florida and had 1-2 left for sale as of several months ago. They were around $10k + or -, if I recall. They were listed on eBay. I know because I was in the market for a S.A. for a while and wanted to know my options, but I never ended closing a deal to buy a car.

EDIT: I found it in my bookmarks, and unfortunately it looks like all of them sold, as the original listing link just leads to an error page; however, I found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144719992399?hash=item21b1fbd64f:g:~FgAAOSwdStjJNYr&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8P1TSbmgREVNn0g1LUMswAB1hWYxZm0oxjN3lI%2F1uxp4K7tMIdA13XHGyJ0bQQIyqsR%2B5MMIhewd3st%2BGgth9wFhiO5v%2Bjb2bwY2ldZCRdqkM74CGUDupKiJw8buPCxOlQMdjDQfuEw0kVNSeuDm6IlFwyt47Q4UdBAg5zPM%2BcTuCZHPArlpnWXcrkDaMbqDWif4KJ5e2mHaZYEY9iqQ%2BRtIdrlKXW4CgbVzfnnDKYT0zuQH1EpeDbSOy2yZ8qy%2BrlvQJ5Z%2B48120D%2FAU81VD5YUZneKnn3Mg5ePxD3uYpmBjBlrA%2B9HXzWMLm%2Fcb3os2g%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_CxqsK1Yg

Thank you, gents. I heard about the person who made CF replacement roof, but I haven't been able to find him. Can anyone help?
My mind is spinning with potential solutions. When my F50 instrument cluster failed, I was told if it was repaired it would only be a matter of time before the capacitors leaked again, so I hired Rod Drew of FAI to re-engineer a whole new instrument cluster using modern technology. It took a while, but when Rod - who is creative and brilliant if you ask me - was done my F50 had a brand new, fully integrated, solid-state, capacitorless instrument panel that had LEDs for light instead of fluorescent tubes. It was brighter, easier to read, and was what Ferrari should have done to begin with. I think history is repeating itself:

The 575 seems to be a great car and the only (excluding the current model) front engine V12 Ferrari convertible with a top that can actually keep the weather out of the passenger compartment. In my opinion its operation is electronically too sophisticated (complicated), and the roof looks like it was stolen from a 1980 Corvette with optional, mirrored t-tops. That said, I'm considering hiring Rod again to re-engineer the whole system and simplify it. A body color matching or carbon fiber top on the outside, with a half-inch of insulation covered in matching (to the interior) leather on the inside, would make the very rare and collectable 575SA a perfect and more desirable car.

Are there any 575SA owners out there who would like to pool resources - money and contacts - with me and come up with a permanent improvement by getting rid of that stupid, exposed, hot piece of glass that sits over their head, and create a better operating system that won't throw every 575SA owner into a tizzy should their roof ever break?

I have a glass OEM top for a 575 SA. It is delaminated in the corners, so to use it, you'd need to have it permanently tinted. It has no scratches or chips. I paid $75,000 for a new one and this is the one it replaced. Asking $13k, if anyone needs it.

Sorry to hear that. Boy these things must be fragile like F355 valve guides and headers ;( Have you found an affordable-ish solution?
