Dare I ask....is there any actual re-sales data (yet) on 296s? GTS deliveries in the US are starting soon....has anyone heard anything about the market?

(A friend just sold/ flipped his Porsche GT3RS spot for $150k over MSRP.)

I have seen the Naples car in person. Not a crazy amount of options, but decent. Would expect a very well optioned one to be closer to 150k over MSRP.

You can ask anything you want. When it sells we will know what it is worth.

In a world where new GT3 RSs are $500-$550 with ADM a 296 GTB (let alone GTS) at the same price seems far more than reasonable.

I was offered an order spot for the just announced 992 ST for $250k OVER. The start price is MSRP $300k. He just informed me that the spot is now sold. $300k start price + $35k in options + $250k ADM. Near $600k.

    The long way home
Traditionally, Ferrari dealers sell all cars for MSRP, but require their clients / first owners to sign a ROFR (Right of First Refusal) so if the car is sold, the dealer gets part of the sale / market price markup, etc.

Porsche dealers are known for selling in demand models in some cases for ADM (Additional Dealer Markup), rather than exclusively to clients for MSRP and requiring a shot at the profit on market price if the car is sold.

Both methods have their merits, but are also universally despised by the market hahaha

I despise my Porsche dealer. They pushed me into becoming a life long Ferrari customer. Sure I had to pay my dues at Ferrari but I much prefer the Ferrari model.

The cars are great, but after 3,4,5,6, 911s purchased they still play games with me. It like I am constantly starting from square one. With Ferrari, after a few cars all the games stop and things just get better and easier.

Its a nice car but I would rather have a 296. The 911 GT engine revs high but has maxed out on power long ago. Not dissing the car, but for me the power doesn't justify the half million market price. I would prefer to have a regular 992s as a daily and spend half a million on a proper exotic.

Still doesn’t move the needle for me. I prefer to have my salesman call me and offer me cars, do 90% of the work over the phone and 10 minutes, come in and inspect out the car at my leisure. This is much more preferable, then kissing the butt of a Macan salesman.

What on earth makes you think that was a customer car? Every new Ferrari comes with at least 50-70 miles from the factory. 250 miles tells you all one needs to know about that car.
