Simply a modified (and improved) version of the car voted by experts in the 2022 "Grand Prize of Design" as the world's most beautiful....
where? wich are these tracks which the SF90 set records left and rights? let's hear about...Monza? Spa? Nurburgring? Le mans? Which? Where? Apart from that comparisons must be made on reference tracks against an opponent at the same time, conditions, driver and tyres or they don't worth a cent. And in any case on planet earth Ferraris don't even remotely have the best power-to-weight ratio unless you compare them to "cheaper" supercars
The market speaks. LaFerrari has been a better car than 918 and P1, despite P1 being produced in lower numbers. And you can see why. It is just a mega car. It has everything. Unbelievable soundtrack, genuine F1 racing pedigree, beautifully done carbon monocoque, V12 with KERS to give instant torque, really beautiful lines and a fantastic drive. Nobody cares about the lap time (even though it’s very decent) you can see why it has done better. It oozes desirability from every pore.
And try these for how fast the SF90 is at many circuits compared with Senna, 765, GT2 RS, etc. https://fastestlaps.com/models/ferrari-sf90-stradale
Ferrari don't make official lap record attempts. Independent tests though prove their cars' parformance. Case in point, Indianapolis production car record and Autocar's track record for the SF90.
Goes to show just how fast the current gen of Hypercars are that they make an actual F1 look slow in terms of acceleration the next gen is going to be completely nuts
An old F1 car though. Today's F1 cars are much quicker. They do 0-200 kph in 4''. Not to mention that an F1 car's straight line speed is heavily dependent on it's aero configuration. Fitted with a Monza spec pack, it is a lot quicker than with a Monaco spec. And that's before even speaking about traction, as they are RWD only.
True but even in the 50mph rolling race it was comparatively slow, also this is the first generation of EV hypercars, the reality is if your hypercar isn’t significantly faster in a straight line than an f1 car in a few years time then it’s slow (just my opinion)
Frankly who cares about this kind of stupid videos ? Some rich people are just thinking automotive beauty is only in drag speed? Absolutely zero interest for me.
Speed matters. Perhaps not only just straight line speed, but a hypercar is mostly about performance. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and driver enjoyment is very subjective. Numers are numbers though; undisputed.
2,000hp low drag with AWD beats 800hp low weight high drag 2WD. It’s just no surprise at all. Get to a corner though, and you’d see why that F1 car had millions more spent on its development The difference would be larger than you can believe.
People are always curious about acceleration times. Its hardly the most important thing, but it’s importance is certainly above zero. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I think the power, acceleration, top speed, bhps, is getting out of hand frankly. Personally i would prefer a car that's beautiful, light, manual, and curvy. 500 bhps will do.
I am not suprised either, but I think it's interesting as (as far as I know) this is the first production car(s) to ever be faster in a straight line than an F1 car of it's era and it's not marginal either (including from a roll)
I remember when people thought 300hp was out of hand. Then 400, then 500, etc…. Were talking about hypercars here- so that means the cutting edge of what you can bring to market- for a successful company that is- that usually means more power to go along with exciting, dramatic, beautiful, etc styling. Companies have made cars that are light and somewhat powerful, some manual, some more powerful with paddles, they are out there. And for the kind of money of the hypercars you could literally build your own. For more reasonable money see: Alfa 4C, A plethora of Miatas, So many Lotus models, How about a 360 or 430 stick? This discussion usually continues with the reply of something like: yeah, but those dont have enough power…. And we are right back to where we started [emoji6] Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
exactly, it's something that's been said forever and the hypercars set the benchmark for what fast truly is - 1,000-1,500hp just doesn't really how the wow factor like it used to be and sub 1,000hp is just considered to be fast but not insane usability of power on the road is irrelevant and has been for some time now
I remember taking delivery of my 993 turbo “in period” probably around 25 years ago and it had 408 hp, the fact that it had 408 hp was astonishing at the time. The 355 with all its new tech had “only” 375. The 355 of course was much more fun to drive and sounded way better and in fact I sold the Porsche and bought a 355 spider. I remember it was Blue Tdf and tan with a navy top. I agree with the comment above, 500 hp plenty for me.
Me too but I m afraid we are both in the „dinosaur“ category. The generation Ferrari is targeting do not drive manual cars and they are impressed by the acceleration of the Tesla Plaid. I dont think there is any chance of Ferrari ever making such a car. Also the cost of development will be enormous as nothing in the current platform fits Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
just just a small correction, it is not from its era, it is from previous hypercar era. I would like to see it with this era, with low drug configuration and with warm tires. The outcome might be different. And we both know that F1 car would destroy it on track . Correction, it would humiliated it on track
Given the XX Stradale has 1016hp I think you are only going to see 1030 - 1100 on the F250 With that said, sadly weigh is going to be 1600-1700kgs with downforce at 600 - 650.
The XX Stradale has loads of carbon Fiber and is still over 1700 KGs it only lost like 15 - 20 on the standard version.
That's kerb weight (real weight) 3937lbs - 1785.793kgs https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=636619490947148 I've seen it weighed in person with similar #s
