My experience with McGovern has not been particularly positive since they acquired Ferrari of Long Island. Has anyone else had a similar experience and does anyone have a contact there in a position of authority whom they would recommend who actually understands the difference between a Ferrari customer service relationship and that of a Toyota?

There is no difference. A car is a car and dealers treat you as such.

They just recently brought in a new GM his name is Bill and I think your gonna find a big improvement coming. He comes from MB so he understands high end. Big ships turn slow so hopefully people will have some patience while he gets it turned around

I haven't had the best experience with them either. Was looking at buying a car out of state so looked to them for a PPI. Called in on a Saturday they told me to call on Monday because the person who schedules the PPI's isn't there on weekends. Understandable. Called Monday and they told me they wouldn't be able to schedule me until the following Monday since they're "backed up". Not a problem. The following Monday comes around, the seller drops off the car early morning for its appointment and I don't hear a word from them for a few days. I call Thursday and the advisor tells me a tech is "looking at it now". The following Tuesday still no word from the Ferrari of LI... I call again to get a status update and the advisor tells me they're looking at it and it should be done soon... By Thursday the car had been at the dealership for a week and a half after its "appointment" and almost three weeks after setting the appointment and the advisor keeps giving me the runaround. I call Thursday, speak to the advisor and he says he'll call me back. Four hours go by its late afternoon already and still no word. At this point, I'm fed up with the whole situation not really sure why they had me set an appointment in the first place. I call up the dealership speak to Julia the service manager and explained my situation. Within minutes I receive my $1575++ PPI that states nothing other than the fluids and tires should be changed due to age and if I would like to get it done. I respectfully declined because if it took over a week and a half to get a PPI done, I can only imagine how long an actual service would take. Car came in last night to my home in Florida. Haven't been able to drive it much at all yet but the AC has been blowing hot as an oven on full blast in our 90+ FL weather.

Rant over. But overall, my experience with Ferrari of Long Island has been pretty negative, to say the least.

FWIW, we've had great service experiences with both Ferrari and Toyota! Expresso is better at F dealer though. [emoji6]

Seriously though, since you live in Connecticut, maybe give Miller Motorcars a look-see if it's a feasible option for you. We bought our California from them and it was an all around great experience. For the $$$$ it costs to buy and maintain these cars, you shouldn't have to put up with sub-par service...T
