There will be at least as much of a price premium over the Purosangue as there was between the 812SF and GTC4 Lusso.

Oh God….. please tell me this isn’t it.

Maranello is going to have to name this, which begs the question- what are the Italian words for anodyne and uninspiring?

This car looks the automotive equivalent of the offspring resulting from an unholy menage a trois between unbuttered white toast, plain, unseasoned, white rice, and a glass of room-temperature, 2% low fat milk.

F167 may have indeed some design cues shown here.

Personally, a simplistic design is fine for me and I like Roma a lot. However, to classify as a proper modern age Ferrari, I think the minimun requirement is to have at least one inlet or outlet on the side of the car. Roma too, should have had at least a single gill behind front wheels. Perhaps a facelift does?

When I started watching F1 races in 1990, I fell in love with radiator outlets in the sidepods of Ferrari 641.

For F167 too, I hope for a single simple outlet with unique beautiful form.

Just one inlet? I may be in the minority but I don’t understand the love for the Roma. Too generic for a Ferrari imho. I definitely don’t want the upper level Ferraris to resemble the entry level model. Complexity is cool and warranted on the top models as long as the inlets and outlets are functional.

When I see concrete floors in a home or an unfinished ceiling with exposed ducts in a restaurant, I think it’s pretty clever when a company delivering certain simplicity convinces the buyer that it’s cool and stylish. Smart way to juice profits. The Roma is built to a price point that’s half (or less) of the F167.

It really depends, sometimes the most minimalist architecture is the most expensive to build. Not everything is cost of materials.
Same with say the 296 which has similar lap times to a GT3RS yet in a seemingly simple and elegant design without over the top aero bits everywhere.

All that said I agree and hope the F167 isn't a Roma XL, not because it's too simple, but because I find the Roma design simply boring.

    Good points, including the 296.

I actually like minimalist design. One of our homes is a Desert Contemporary, but it has limestone floors throughout. I steered clear of all homes with stained or unfinished concrete which I believe came into vogue largely as a cost saving feature.

If Ferrari is going to charge top dollar for the F167, they need to put some effort into distinguishing it from a Roma which I also see as boring.

I know the 812 isn’t everyone’s favorite, but I love our example and appreciate the effort that went into creating downforce and reducing lift without huge wings and things. Not to mention the glorious hand-built, non-GPF V12.

For once I would hope to see a clean side, with no openings, with no complex aerodynamic solutions: the focus of this model is Luxury. Understood in the fullest sense. A sporty yet elegant GT

You can make it as luxurious as you want but something with so much power and capable of such top speeds has to stay down and stable somehow.

You can do it with aggressive aero or with complex/hidden aero, but you ARE doing it.

Since the 599, the large Ferrari V12 are front-mid engined supercars, not GTs (even though Ferrari classifies all road cars as GTs, but that's a different story).

    Boring...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I for one think the Roma is very fluid but extremely generic.

The car needs some surface detail so when I hand wash it I can marvel at the subtle intricacies that differentiate it from other run of the mill supercars and complements the engine with design to match it.

Why not a carbon tub front mid engined V12 ? just wondering. I mean these things are now running 600-700k doesn't the consumer deserve carbon at that price point ?
