Eurospares approved parts are from various sources, seldom their own. Some parts are from Superformance. You have no choice if it’s the only option. If there is an OE option and the price difference is marginal, 9/10 times I’m avoiding the Eurospares approved parts.

Replacing the lower shock bushing was not the fix, according to this follow up video.

He has since replaced all the ball joints, but is not clear if this has resolved the issue or not, as anytime you unweight the suspension by putting it on a lift, it can take a few hundred miles for the knock to return. Its been 11 months since this post with no follow up video. I emailed him tonight asking for an update. :) I have replaced all my ball joints with Hill Engineering a few years ago, and the ball joints didn't fix it.

Since my flamboc replacements 2.5 or so years ago, my knock has returned, but it is very intermittent, and much more faint. Previously it was pretty persistent and quite loud.

This seems to be a scud issue but not a 430 issue, so maybe the answer is in whatever makes the 2 different suspension wise?

For me, the fix was the factory-correct Molykote UN paste on the lower shock bolts, as noted in the WSM. I couldn’t believe it would be that easy, but it was. This was after replacing the upper and lower ball joints, the tie rod ends and the sway bar end links. There was still residual knocking after replacing all of the above, and I saw a recommendation for the Molykote UN, and much to my surprise and happiness, it worked!!

Might be worth a try, but Scuderias have an updated bolt with a Teflon coating. I went ahead and replaced them a couple years ago...no change.

I know the later 360’s also updated the bolt, to one coated with the MolyKote UN, so it sounds like they updated that again for the Scud to Teflon? Whatever it is, I hope you track it down and get it sorted!

It may be the exact same bolt. When I swapped them they looked identical...so it already had the updated ones.

I believe mine already had the updated one as welll, but after 20 years, a fresh application of the correct Molykote did the trick! YMMV.

Also replaced lower front shock bolts with Molykote paste after replacing all upper/lower ball joints and bushings on my 08 scud. Noise finally went away after trying to solve it for a few years.

Was the molykote paste applied? if not may want to try, worked for me with new bolts. Knocking now gone.

I emailed Jayemm to try the same, not sure if he's done it yet.

    This stuff?
    https://www.dupont.com/content/dam/dupont/amer/us/en/Molykote/public/documents/en/MOLYKOTE_U-N_Paste_71-0117F-01.pdf

Appear to be sold in cans or squeeze tubes.

    https://www.dupont.com/products/molykote-u-n-paste.html

The "UN" variant seems to be a little harder to find online.
Thought I could find it on Amazon, Grainger or Zoro...no luck. I see a seller in Poland selling it in tubes on eBay... in fact all the sellers I can find are in Europe or North Africa. One in Hong Kong. Appears to be used in the aviation industry.

Is a little 50g tube going to be enough for both bolts?

Yes. I got the one from the eBay Poland seller, 50g. I have plenty left after doing all 4 bolts.

Thanks, I placed the order just now....might be a few weeks to receive it.
Funny, I went for a drive on Saturday and never head any knocking at all. Intermittent nature of the problem.

It took a few weeks for mine to arrive too. I hate intermittent issues, and those that fix themselves. I just spend my drives waiting for them to return!

I am not sure why Molykote and not a modern synthetic lube, it is just a high temp lube... check specs... but anyway, if anyone wants it, I have a full 50g tube never used which I can send. Just pay me the ebay price and postage.
