    Same problem here.

When I press the switch, it makes the right sounds, but when I release the switch it locks.

Currently it’s a two person job. I’ve got to get someone to hold the switch down while I get my fingers in to lift the trunk before they release their hand from the switch.

I’ve seen a similar problem on another GT as well.

The system assumes when the switch is hit, the catch releases and the trunk pops up with hydraulic strut pressure. So adjust the catch and make sure your struts are working well.

I changed my struts and still same problem which is why I’m wondering if it’s the plunger. Thought I read somewhere on here that it needs changed but can find that post so not sure if the part I have linked above is correct.

I don't know if it is the popper, but I had this same problem on my Quattroporte and changing the popper solved the problem.

My truck will 'stick' a little bit depending on the ambient temperature/humidity. Normally just needs a very light pull up with fingers.

In contrast, last winter it refused to open (same, could hear the mechanism unlatching but the truck was stuck closed). This was with temps in the 30s. A day back in the garage and temps up to 50s and it was back to normal.
