Only way I’ve been able to turn it off (the 3rd brake light) is by pulling the fuse. Install the fuse and it comes right back on again.

‘Likely the driver for the signal is shorted and probably on the ecu. If it is driven by a relay, then the relay is likely bad.

Agreed. I tried resetting it by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. Didn’t work. Dealer will be picking it up soon.

My issue seems to have self-corrected. Everything is back to normal now. The only thing I can think of is that right before the issue started, I had a detailer wash my car and he might have accidentally gotten some water into the 3rd brake light and caused a short? Maybe after it finally dried out it’s back to normal?

I don’t know for sure. But as of now it’s fine.

The lights are sealed to stop water from getting in the lens…glad it worked out.

Mine did this today too after a wash yesterday. Will let the dealer know when it goes in for its annual service in a couple months.

Good to know. I washed my car again last week and did not have the issue occur again (haven’t had it happen since I posted about it). My detailer uses a pressure washer, so maybe that’s why it happened. I only use a regular hose.

Same here - pressure washer. It was very intermittent though, a friend of mine caught it when he walked by my car, it turned off before he left.

SF90 spider (2023 year) . During last some months, when I ignited in the morning, from time to time, "System not programmed"," Low beam failure". and "Blind Spot Detection temporary fail". As these error messages disappeared sooner or later, I ignored them. However today passenger display became black out and no audio sound came out. After talking with an engineer at the authorized dealer at South Korea, according to his advice I removed minus terminal clamp for some seconds ( still some lights did not disappear due to battery cell) and reinstalled it. But when I pushed engine start button, nothing happened and above mentioned 3 error messages came out. So this time after I removed minus terminal clamp , I pushed the engine start button. All lights went gone. Now I reinstalled minus terminal and pushed the engine start button. All errors are gone and passenger display came back!!!!! [ This time one warning message came. "Do not remove ???? 30 minues ???? " -- I guess : don't remove minus terminal more than 30 minutes..... The message disappeared so soon I don't remember full text. [I have another Ferrari , 488 spider( 2017 year) . Regarding it's error messages I already posted , but no one listed any comment.]

i was pretty sure i'd seen every mesage that could pop up - i've had the 'hybrid system failure, go to dealer', the 'edrive not available', and a slew of others. most of them have all been very boring and just like a simple reset/software or code clearing.

in september, i got a new, scarier one: "engine recranck not ensured". What was most fascinating about this was that while the error was up, the car wouldnt move even reverse which obviously only uses electric power to move and i didnt even start the v8. i turned it off, waited a bit, and then eventually it came back up with most of the other annoying errors, but the car did start, including the v8. but it did not sound right at all, kinda warbly and was not holding idle very constant.

the fix for this one was replacing the battery (not the li battery, but the agm one). car is about 3 years old and just shy of 5k miles.

Did the warranty cover the battery replacement?

I’ve encountered the same problem, and the dealer told me to wait for 3-4 weeks. How long have you been waiting for your repair?

I just got an SF 90 and I’ve had the same issue with Waze dropping off after a few minutes when tied into on Apple Car play. I’m asking the dealer to check the system.

Can you access car play wireless without use a cord ?

Was at the dealer the other day. No less than 6 sf90s in various states of disassembly for various issues. 4 296 with gearboxes removed, the amount of dead Ferrari's was astonishing, waiting for parts etc. No wonder they are backed up 4 months..couldn't stuff another car in there sideways.

This is depressing. I wonder given they reversed on the touch panels and returned knobs will they ever release another non hybrid mid engine car ?

Unlikely for regular production as non hybrid doesn’t fit in the modern Ferrari narrative. Most especially when you are traveling down the road to an electric car future.
Imagine a 296 size Ferrari with the motor from a 2014 Speciale and a few light-weight parts to compensate a bit for no hybrid. It would cannibalize other model sales...
