Does your alarm LED stay lit when your car is running? Does your car not chirp when you press the fob? These are signs of a failed alarm siren. Over time (typically 20 years), the battery inside the siren leaks, the siren stops working, and the PCB board inside is eventually destroyed which causes the anti-theft fuse to blow.

I'm selling replacement sirens for the F355, 360, 456, 550 and 575 that are compatible with Ferrari part #177148 (which sells for ~$1,000). These sirens are the same exact Bosch part that have been flashed with the proper software to function identically to the original. Price is $300.

For those who have earlier models of the F355, 456 and 550 that contain the older (superceded) siren part #186593, the solution was always to buy a patch cable (part #180072 that Ferrari is selling for $230) to convert your car's wiring harness to fit the connector on the new siren. I just started manufacturing these cables and (for now) am selling them for only $50. My cable will be identical to the original, down to the wire colors and sticker. The connectors are OEM and not some China alternative.

    PM me if any questions!

I bought one from Mark after my OEM one destroyed my battery and it worked perfectly. Simple plug and play.

So for these is there any programming/learning involved? Do you just unplug the old one and plug this one in?

Just unplug the old one and plug in the new one. The car doesn’t need to learn it or anything like that.

Yeah I believe your battery has failed but has not yet started to destroy the PCB board.

Great work, looks like a great solution.
Are you be able to replace the battery in the new units down the track, or will it be a matter of changing the siren again.
Also, how do I know if I have earlier model siren, do I need to remove and check or was there a change over date.

Since the batteries typically last about 20 years I didn’t see a need to modify from OEM. That just seems like it’s asking for some other unknown trouble. My sirens have a late 2022 date code so they’re very fresh.

I have heard there is an assembly number cutoff for the newer part number, but not sure what it is. Best to take a peek at what you have.

Will this dead battery situation for the siren and pcb result in a "crank but no start" situation for the imobilizer?

I am able to shut off the red dash light via my fob but no chirp. This is also a Euro 575M 2003. Not sure if that matters.

Thank you so much in advance.

No chirp tells me your siren is failing. Light flashing then off tells me the PCB hasn’t yet shorted or blown the fuse. Your immobilizer is doing what it should.

Your car is not starting though? Have you checked fuel, spark, etc? I get calls somewhat frequently saying my car won’t start it must be the immobilizer, but the problem is ALWAYS something else. The first place I would look is the fuel pumps. I can’t tell you how many no start issues end up being the fuel pump.

And you can always unplug the siren. The car will work just fine without it. The LED just stays lit when the car is running if the siren is unplugged.

Def have correct pressure at the fuel rails. It went in for a broken F1 potentiometer arm. This has been replaced. But it has not started since.

I did do the fob 3x button reset on the alarm. No joy. It does not have spark. It will not cycle past second gear. Cranks but no start. Thanks so much in advance!

If it’s disarming it’s not the fob. No need to reset it.
