Ferrari F8 Spider (2023) When the gas light comes on and the gas gauge shows last bar red, how much gas is left? How far can I drive to a gas station before running out of fuel. This hasn't happened, I just want to know in case.
there is A LOT left as I discovered.... the tank is 22.7 gallons and I've been to the warning light area, driven some miles and then when I fill it, it still only puts like 15-16 gallons in... I was shocked that the light comes on and showing limited range with 6-7 gallons still in the car... it's a good thing I guess... the first time it happened, I put the car in auto mode and drove like a Camry cos I was so worried.... but turns out, I still ha over 6 gallons of gas in the car..... this was the only time auto mode was used. It was awful.
I’m also getting 6.3 mpg each of the 3 times I checked it— I only checked for amusement purposes but was pretty surprised as even my AMG GTC got 7.8 for the 4 years I owned it. So I guess the answer is 6.3 x ~6 so about 37 miles. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I have a 458 Spider and a Portofino M. They have 22+ gallon fuel tanks and the fuel gauge has 9 bars. Driving my 458 as hard as I can (manual / race / 4 LEDs / 8500 rpm per shift) I still get over 10 mpg. The PFM (with the turbos in race / manual ) gets over 12 mpg. In my 458 with 1 bar to go I still have at least 30 miles. I am both skeptical and envious of your 6.3 mpg. In CA, the gas stations are a disaster and I can never get a full tank, so the math gets difficult. I'm wondering if your gas stations are giving you bad numbers as well.
Hmm- interesting- but it’s definitely 6.3 doing simple math of miles driven and total gallons it’ll take. I’ve never heard of not getting a full tank here in Florida.. always seems to fill all the way. I drive in manual and race, keep revs between 3500-5 nearly always — of course rev up to 7-8 once or twice per drive… 6.5 miles each way to work— and just around town, rarely on a highway… GT got 7.6 and F8 at 6.3 Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
My 458 has an 86 Liter (22.7 gallon) gas tank. Assuming your F8 is similar, one bar gives you 2.5 gallons to go. In my 458 that's about 30 miles, but I never let it get that empty.
That's funny - because needing better glasses would be better. The gauge is so small and easy to ignore while having fun with this F8! The light and color change (yellow to red) caught my eye. No worries, though, it's filled up now! At least I now know I can go 2 miles to the gas station with no issue when the bars drop to one and turns red. 2.5 gallons is what I found is supposedly left in the tank. I'll never test how far that takes me..
