It's sour grapes for having missed his 8th title in 2021. I cannot see any other explanation.

Is PlanetF1 a reliable source though ? I always suspect the media of being sh**stirrer, and trying to influence people by desinformation.

You're correct that the media, especially PF1, are **** stirrers of the highest order.

I do hope this entire article and quotes are entirely made up.

Ive stated my opinion on DC's claims about LH wanting less PR requirements. I don't know why that would have an affect on announcing George Russell's signing.

Lewis when givin equal status has been beating by his teammates several times. He like any other drive would want #1 status. It doesn't mean better equipment like it might have meant in the 80s. It means preferred strategies, the car is designed to their liking first, and their teammate may be required to sacrifice their race to help the #1. We've seen this with Bottas and Perez. I hope this isn't the case, the Lewis vs George even status battle is fun to watch.

I believe that Mercedes went to Lewis at the end of 2012 with information that they had an ace (or all 4 aces) up their sleeve for 2014. We've seen the FIA be very generous towards Mercedes in the past. 2021 was Liberty Media's highest rated season. People do not like a dominant driver. The FIA and Liberty don't like it, at least if it isn't Hamilton. It would be in their best interest to have another Max vs Lewis, RBR vs Mercedes season.

it's funny how he'll always says how strong Bottas was...(remember him doing everything he could to get him to stay, saying how he was the strongest teammate ever) yet conveniently forgets about his former friend Rosberg that actually beat him to a title.

Max has had strong teammates too, it's just that he's utterly dominated and destroyed them.

1 million years separates Max's team mates from Sir Lewis Hamilton's team mates. No logic in comparing the two.

who remembers this bit? When he had to let the world know the exact reason why he was beaten by his teammate...

Finally Lewis is comparable with his mate Alonso.
A true racer driving at 40 years old ( in two years from now).
    Admirable motivation i would say.

No doubt that F1 media stirs the pot. Almost every headline is untrue clickbait where you read the supporting info and say to yourself “the headline is not true”. The headline could say “Verstappen calls Hamiltons mother a street walker” and the supporting article will say that Verstappen had pasta for lunch.

Anyway I used to despise Verstappen but this was mostly because Netflix made him look like a bad guy and maybe because he had not fully matured yet. These days I really like everything about Verstappen and the change in my opinion was prompted by Hamiltons comments. Literally the more Hamilton talks the more I appreciate Verstappen.

Also Hamilton cannot read a room as he won’t stop talking. The worse was last month when he made sound like F1 is sexist. The truth is any team would love to have a female driver winning. The sponsor money would be unprecedented. The Way Hamilton speaks it’s as if he is the only one who likes women and everyone else is an evil misogynist except the pure, virtuous Hamilton.
I don’t even think that Mercedes appreciates all of his woke talk. He was pushing for a 10 year ambassador ship and they were like hey why don’t you just shut up and drive for another two years

but the point stands...the two best female drivers we know of today are Sophia Floersh and Jamie Chadwick. Chadwick utterly dominated Formula W but hasn't really done anything noteworthy outside of that.

Floersh whilst she's also a good driver, is currently sitting 23rd in F3 championship with 6 points.

All this whinging about needing a female F1 driver is all well and fun but...show me one that's at least capable?

All jokes aside, a female driver would be huge for the sport and the team she drives for. So nobody is trying to stop it. I think it will happen eventually if more women get involved with the sport. Obviously, it would take 100s or 1000s more women in carting and formula 3, 2 to produce the best female drivers. However, we all know that F1 is cut throat and if any driver fails to perform quickly they could get the axe.

I do think it's good for the sport but she'll have to be a driver that can actually compete. Doesn't need to win, just needs to drive at the same level of her competent teammate.

And that woman, well she's not here yet..

Compared to the men, the pool of female drivers is too small to reveal an extroardinary driver, IMO.

All I can say is that if it was Max that cut into Pastri yesterday, Sky Sports would have replayed the incident a dozen times and cried how wreckless Max is, BUT since it was Lewis, the accident which destroyed Piatri's race was brushed aside with one replay and barely discussed.

Cost to Piastri was at least 30 seconds.

Cost to Hamilton was 5 seconds.
