Is this your Silver Flare (last 4 of VIN 4780)? If so, your car should ship soon.

This is a link to follow the production of window stickers for new builds. My understanding is that cars will not ship until after the window sticker is made. I've heard there might be a bit of a hold-up for shipping cars out that have the engine display package (and the ZO7 package).

Not sure if you spec'd that engine display option? Lots of folks have their build date, but cars are waiting in que for this option so that WS's can be generated for cars to be shipped.

 

No, my vin ends in 4950 and I did not order the engine appearance package but I did option the car with the Z07 package which is why I got the chance to order the car. I follow the c8tracker web site and the production numbers for the last few days has been disappointing as shown by the few window stickers being released. Since my car is an extra allocation, I am not surprised that it may be built on one of the last days for 2023. I expect 2024 production to be delayed so they can finish all of the promised cars for 2023. Also, the expected strike by UAW could also throw a big wrench in everything.

 

Got a call from my dealer telling me my car was "produced."

Not sure when the car will actually ship. Not expecting it to arrive at my dealer anytime soon.

 

Congrats. What are the last 4 digits of the vin? Is the window sticker up yet?

 

I was away on vacation when I got the call and my dealer just left me a VM saying that the car has been built.

No idea what the VIN is but (according to C8Tracker) there has NOT been a window sticker made for it (black with the ZO7 package).

 

Looking forwards to hearing your impressions too.

 

Looks like my Z06/Z07 was built today. The number of Z07's being built is down to a trickle.

 

I went on C8Tracker and there is a black ZO7 with a window sticker made. Last four of the VIN are 4928 but I'm not sure if the car is mine. My sales rep is on vacation so I don't want to bother him to ask him what my VIN is.

Is there a way to see a copy of the window sticker to see if it is indeed my car?

 

Here you go. That is practically down the street from me in Kansas City if your car.

Unfortunately not my car but eerily similar. I didn't do the museum delivery or the colored seatbelts. Everything else is a match.

Did you get the sticker from C8Tracker?

 

Yes. The little tag next to the serial number is the sticker. To see this, you have to create a login.

 

I was told they can’t do the high wings. Worked for me bc I didn’t want the Z07 as a convertible but there was no option to.

 

If my car was built today then my window sticker should show up tomorrow by noon. Fingers crossed.

I luckily have a good friend over of a Chevy dealer but I have also heard from horror stories.

dont know why they made this on the stingray and not the z06 but its a nice car for those who like pagani, kegg, etc. for me, i wish they went other direction and toned the design way down. make it look more like a 360 modena by smoothing off the creases, taking out the trunk to narrow the rear end, etc.

 

not a huge fan of the rear id call it a bit slopey, mclaren ish but nice, the rest looks great.
But then for the $ why get a vette at all.

Yeah, but if you read the classifieds, no one ever drives their cars in the rain.

 

The black pit of Z06 nothingness looks to be circling all of the remaining 2023 cars which are suposedly built but not yet finished as they were short CF parts. Each day a few get out of the holding lot as parts come in but there is no rhyme or reason as to which ones they pull to finish. Maybe a week, maybe a couple more months. No one knows at this point and with the strike possibly expanding tomorrow, BGA may shut too.

 

Yup, I'm giving them another 6 weeks to get their sh*t together and then I'm going to tell them to keep the car...and then go F12 shopping.

 

Were years after the pandemic, so what were dealing with here is management failure.

 

Also, BGA's desire to have a record production year caused them to allocate bonus cars around the country in June and July which added to the issue of missing/delayed parts. 2024 Stingrays are being produced by the hundreds but 100's of 2023 Z06s are sitting because the CF isn't available. A real snafu going on.
