What is even more extraordinary about that sale is the fact that the video was from 1 year ago! May the Horse be with you
Our friend here @stevepaa has mentioned IRL that he is considering selling his Argento 575 this fall so with that in mind the recent 575 BaT result was a positive. Lot to like about the BaT car and Steve’s car. I have to believe the market will be weak over the winter (typical) and it be interesting to see how the economy does in 1Q24 and the early part of 2Q24. Seems like if there are still “sellers” then the next 45 days will be the end (?) of the sweet spot? Perhaps no material downturn but a flattening with slight weakness?
From what I remember that car had been on and off their website for last 3 years. I remember inquiring about price when I dropped by 2 years ago, if I recall correctly they were asking 300k. I guess timing is everything. The recent auction for 500k really spiced things up.
The Holy Grail for many Maranello enthusiasts, even with about the same mileage as my vanilla FHP 575M.
Your car is not Vanilla. It just has a few more close related siblings Vs the manual variants. May the Horse be with you
I thought about popping by to see it… The price seems nice but I need to amortize the maintenance cost on my 456M for a bit longer and add some miles !
Depends on how early a 575M it is. Early ones (pre AN 52556) are definitely helped by FHP, the later ones with the steering position sensor and later shock ECUs do not need FHP as much.
I assume that this has been converted?? https://www.ebay.com/itm/266408568183?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=PyDKYQ49QNG&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=ihkFmnI3SAS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY May the Horse be with you
When I plugged the vin into the DOT recall website, it is listed as an actual oem manual 575, not f1. With pricing like that there must be a story. Wonder if any accidents on carfax?
I think the first time I've seen an EAG 575 for sale? It seems to be missing the level of documentation that would give it the best chance on BAT. I doubt eBay is going to get the price they are looking for, but time will tell: https://www.ebay.com/itm/276045898037
Thanks so much for sharing that. Color combo is dead center for my strike zone. Will be interesting to see what this car and Dan’s red one brings. The higher the better? At eBay for a seller at least you don’t get hammered with questions
So they ask more than twice the price of an authentic 550 for a moded 575 ? The 575 is an evolved 550, but still...
I like how @Qksilver looks at things so interested in his thoughts. Generally…..so many 575 evolutions from the 550…,some you can do to a 550 some you can’t…..are the evolutions you can do worth $20k+? It’s way more nuanced….but shouldn’t an apples to apples 550 vs 575 aftermarket conversion be at least the cost of conversion (for a placeholder $35k….plus those evolutionary upgrades of at least $20k)….so maybe an EAG car is at least $55k more than an equivalent 550? A deGroot conversion more valuable for sure. A TdF w Cuoio with low miles 550 should be at least $200? So EAG at least $250k or more? Asking $299 doesn’t seem crazy. If it was a deGroot conversion then maybe $299 is low? the recent prices for original OEM 575 6MT based on rarity have been shocking.
I think that eBay eag 575 pricing is way out there. Price should be f1 575 + conversion cost + premium for not having to wait. Ad doesn’t say if it has fhp. I would say should be around 175k.
@Ffre92 is right, ridiculous asking price for that eBay 575. Danger close to original 575 manual territory. Crazy but, hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. As we've seen with recent Maranello sales, the market is unpredictable as to what people will pay for these cars.
I noticed after I originally posted that the eBay seller has EAG in its username and sold a 360 EAG previously. Maybe this was a prototype car they used?
