+1 absurd fan obsession. As if that solves all the worlds problems, to see someone they dont know struggle. They feel better about themselves.

They say, “If you can fake sincerity, you’re halfway there.” In F1, apparently you just substitute “talent” for “sincerity.”

Ricciardo set to delay F1 return to United States GP
Daniel Ricciardo is understood to have delayed his Formula 1 injury return until the United States Grand Prix, with AlphaTauri substitute Liam Lawson poised to race in Qatar this weekend.

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner supposed that Ricciardo might initially target a return for Qatar following the Singapore and Japan double-header. But Autosport understands that the eight-time grand prix winner has now deferred his comeback until Texas (20-22 October).

 

I wonder if interest in Lawson is really driving that. He's done surprisingly well.

MaxBull are committed to Ricci. They wont rush an injury recovery. The rumor still persists that is Perez is marginal again early next season, Ricci moves up to MaxBull seat and Perez is moved down or out. They appear to not want to push Lawson unlike Albon and Gasly.

 

Ya think they might be learning from all their mistakes in driver development ??

 

Lawson is a real talent so let's hope they give him some time

 

Depends on Marko's mood and what culture the driver is from probably!
