I had my 330 gtc judged at Cavallino in West Palm Beach last year.
I met one of the wonderful judges Maurice .
He told me he was writing/publishing a book on the 330 gtc, I mentioned to him that I’d love one once completed.

a few weeks ago he sent me the link to order:
    http://www.makgroupbooks.com/

I think it’s the best 330gtc book ever written.
This is a must have for any 330 owner.

I have no affiliation but just wanted to post up the opportunity.

I may be wrong but TTBOMK this is the first 330 GTC book written.
It therefore has to be "the best"..............

Depends on the research and effort that was needed to write the book?

While I’ve found both types occasionally (or often) to contain variable amounts of inaccuracies, misleading or questionable information, these ^, along with OEM owners/repair/service/workshop manuals have always been my favorite automotive books/read.

I received my book recently. It’s massive (15” x 13” x 1.6”, 367 pages, 10+ lbs!) and full of info that I haven’t digested yet. I hesitated to buy it as it is expensive, but decided to go for it as my car is in the chapter on Owners Views (so is Clete’s btw). I had met Maurice at Concorso about 10 years ago when he told me about this project. Periodically, I would hear from him, but thought it wasn’t going to happen after many years past. Now I understand why it took so long. A lot of research went into producing this book; actually encyclopedia is a better term. The quality of the book, paper and photos are top notch. It comes beautifully packaged and has its own protective case. It covers all aspects of the 330/365 GTC/S; design, build, prototype, owner’s perspectives, press kit info, factory build records, etc. While it does have some excellent information and pictures as an originality reference, it’s not meant to duplicate the judging guide mentioned above. It’s much more comprehensive than that. If you have a GTC/S, or are a fan of this era of Ferrari, you won’t be disappointed. Think of it as a price of an oil change, but something tangible that will give you many hours of reading pleasure. Congratulations, Maurice in finally seeing your project through to completion. We’ll done.

Sorry to say but I am NOT impressed, not at all.
Especially the quality of the photos, many of these have been simply "reproduced" (lifted?) from other publications.

I received my copy, and I, too, was disappointed with the quality of the photos and was underwhelmed by the overall product. It pairs well with my blue 330 GTC, I suppose, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near as special as it could have been, especially given it’s very long gestation period. Worth the money? That’s up to each buyer to decide. For me, if I ever sell my car, the book will go with it. It’s not a keeper.

Interesting feedback on the book. I thought the content and photos were fine, but since this is my first high price book, I don’t have anything to compare it to.

I'm a new 330GTC owner and will be doing a light restoration on my car once the final coat of clear is applied tomorrow. I met Maurice in Modena back in May and thoroughly enjoyed meeting him and learning about his knowledge. For me the book is a wealth of detailed information and very well produced. Expensive maybe, but the time it takes to put something like this together is immense and time is not free! Personally I think it's better than the book I have for my 575M. This book along with the IAC-PFA PDF will help me in getting my car as close to original as possible for future judging.

Welcome to 330 GTC ownership. After lusting after 330 GTC’s for decades, I’ve had mine now for a little over two years and I love it. I had a lot of work done on the drivetrain and did a lot of chassis work myself while the drivetrain was out. They are easy cars to work on and the Judging Guide was of immense help to me and the folks on this forum are great as well.

You might also want to check out this link where you can see how these cars are put together. It’s fascinating. http://classicjaguar.com/cj/bk.html

Enjoy your time with your car!

Wow, what a ton of work that GTC is getting. Nice to see the detail photos. It appears the front shock tower mount gap wasn’t welded shut per the factory bulletin although they did reinforce behind it. Seems simple enough to do the bulletin with everything apart. Thanks for sharing the link.

I had the same reaction about the shock tower mount. I sent a note to the points of contact at the shop along with the Ferrari technical bulletin regarding this issue and asked if there was a reason they weren’t reinforcing the mount. I never received a response. ‍

Thank you and thank you for the link! Wow, I scanned it quickly, but will spend more time looking at a later time, amazing thorough work. This was mine several weeks ago, just three smaller areas of rust in the front of the lower rear quarters and left front fender. The whole body was taken down to bare metal, gone is the red and the original Nocciola has just been applied!
