    Oh and a bit of clarification about the racing sim. There is no motion in it currently. I can add it later. I did not want motion. the rig will be upstairs and I didnt want to disturb the folks downstairs with the motion. Motion when Ive used it gives me a bit of nasuea. And frankly its just another thing to break down. Ill add it later if I want it. This is more of a piece of art thats a functional racing tool. Bunch of F1 drivers use these. By no means do I have any aspiration of becoming an F1 driver- this is just an expensive toy and eye candy that will be tons of fun when the boys come over to hang out.

    Dialing it all in. Reviewing the samples and renderings. 99% going with your suggestion. Black frame. Carbon fiber spacers. Red accents on the carbon fiber spacers. Seat Im still debating whether its black with red stitching or red seat. Will dial that in.

    I found a Ferrari engine coffee table that will go in the lounge area. Have measured all the spacing from desk to sim in the rendering after shortening the loft. All is good and well and spacing works out perfect.

    This loft has become my ultimate dream office/hang out. Ive got plenty of privacy (We are putting glass doors up top) when I need it. I have my cars below. The space below can also be turned in to a pickle ball court. I have my desk for those days that I work from home. I have my golf sim and racing sim for those days I want to blow off steam. I have my lounge area when I want to chill with friends.

    I may never leave this space!! lol Final layout attached.

    It’s beautiful but too bold. The blue won’t work with anything else in the room. Also- black frame is timeless and seat can be changed at anytime.

    Super sweet room; congrats!

    I'd go with the colours you have for the room.
    You have a green golf mat that's sticking out.
    I wouldn't add a competing colour to go with that like a red seat.
    It will make the racing sim, cool as it is, look like an addition.
    If you stick with the same colours you can make it look like eveverything is coordinated to work with each other.
    And thus will look so much cooler.
    Even by making everything black or grey or green.
    The fact that materials are colour coordinated will enhance everything. It's basic 1+1 = 4!

    To your Sonos question, I have a combination of both.
    All speakers and amps are hard wired.
    Sonos is just there as a media player.
    Should something else/new/better come around I can simply switch the media player.
    Integrating your speakers is obviously seriously cool.
    In our bathrooms we've added B&W speakers that can be plastered over, so they are 100% invisible yet offer fantastic speaker quality.

    Proceeding slowly. windows are going in right now. as soon as that is done, insulation and drywall done. hoping to have all that done by first week of December. Then its a race to the finish with flooring, cabinetry and finishes. Sorry for the lack of updates. Just have been absolutely slammed at the office going through a transition. Hopefully things calm down soon.

    Ask and you shall receive. Sorry for the hiatus. Life has been insane and just dealing with some personal stuff. Progress is ongoing but slow. We are aiming for inspections next week so that we can close up the house . Electrical, plumbing, hvac. Windows were supposed to be done a week ago but they still aren’t done. Supposed to be next week and aiming for insulation and drywall to begin shortly. Some pics.
